Fantasy league suggestion

Hi guys. I think that in fantasy league transfer should not be allowed! You create your team with 100 million budget and then see where you can go from there. If transfers are allowed (as it currently is happening), what's the point? It loses all the fun and the idea behind the fantasy league. Thanks.

@dardhask A fantasy anything is made to give people the likeness of a real club that's made by themself, but without the stress. transfers are an essential part of real sports management. Transfers also don't take the fun away as you still have underperforming players and instead of having to keep them all the time, you can sell them off. Again, they keep fun in by allowing your dream team to be constantly changing, never staying the same. I mean, after a few matches, it might be cool, but playing with the same players, including your bad ones, over and over again, it can get repetitive. And, if you don;t seem fazed, there might be fantasy league customization after a few seasons, and remember, it's been how long? Since the last fantasy league. For the next season, they might release it for custom leagues and add an addition to remove transfers. Fantasy leagues are all public, and to turn transfers off is a private option only. So it makes since to keep transfers in for now.
And, what do you have just than saying it's not fun? -
@carfyo we only have 10 teams and the season is short, not regular. The idea would be that you should create a team of at least 20 players for 100 million, and then play vs. others to see who created the best team. With transfers allowed, you cannot compare in that sense, so ultimately you can again sell your players for max price and buy better ones cheaper, and in the end it is pretty much the same as playing the regular leagues.
-
@dardhask I object. What if a player get injured? And if it was who makes the best team, it would be very much more biased towards whoever goes first. Also, you always dont have to transfer with others. Transfers are the heart of making a good team, and fantasy league is about making the best team possible, and that involves sticking with your team, changing, adapting your team. Thats what it is. Under how you made it, you can just leave the team be. Youre also ignoring the tactics, training, and others that make OSM such a great game. In regular leauges, you also have a set team, so you can change that. And selling players max price? Transfers are not just that, and most people don't play trasnfers like that. Have you seen someone sell off someone at max price to the list, not even a good player, and then just pick up, i dont know, Ronaldo, for what, 15M? That's very unlikely.

@dardhask I completely agree with you, for me doesn't makes any sense to to have transfers on the fantasy league, you choose your team and you should keet it till the end. also finishing early training should be blocked lik in battles.
This will be fair, the way it is basically turns this the same as any other league.

@vipascoal That is what the other guys said. Before you post answers, can you please read all the posts? And, you can do the squiggly lines here, so make your posts look nicer.

@dardhask
I, like many of the Portuguese community, think like you. It doesn't make sense for the Fantasy League to have transfer. It takes away all the fun and work of knowing how to assemble the team. -
@márcio-girilim-santos OK, Im starting to see where you guys are going.

@vipascoal said in Fantasy league suggestion:
@carfyo sorry but do not understand what you mean. If my opinion is the same as some other user I should not write a post with it?
No, Im saying that you should see what arguments everyone else has before you post. So, in other words, post away!

@dardhask I agree with you. There is no point in picking your players carefully when you can offload everyone just as the league starts. The real skill of the Fantasy League is making the team
-
@carfyo If a player gets injured, it's your fault for not having a backup when building the team. The Fantasy League used to be all about building your team. A real life league only has 2 transfer periods, so not having transfers is closer to reality, honestly.
Also, you cannot leave the team as it is when the other players almost double the value of their squad in the preseason days simply by transferring as much as they can.
Having transfers in the Fantasy League simply encourages me to buy as many average players as the 100M budget allows me and then start the transfer madness.
Also, you can go in any league and build your own "fantasy team" just by making transfers constantly. The only difference in this case is that you can't name the team. From my point of view, the Fantasy League's main feature is hand picking your team and being forced to stick with your decisions, like in real life.

@toma-corleone Obviously, you would have a back up. And, did you look that I WAS CONVINCED! Read the posts.
-
@carfyo Didn't seem to me that you WERE CONVINCED, but if you say so, I'm not arguing over that. You don't have to be that edgy, mate
-
@toma-corleone Im starting to see where youre going, is I AM CONVINCED. You don't have to be that edgy either, m8.

Fantasy should be a bit different than other, regular leagues. If we have this option to make our team from the scratch, than transfer should be OFF, because it kills the purpose of creating the team. Maybe make transfer available on 2 days during the season, but nothing more than that. You create your team now, pick players, and they're all gone after 4-5 days anyway, and being replaced by other players. Not interesting anymore
