Players disappearing

So I bought Tah as a young defender and I was training him, but suddenly he just got deleted from my squad.
you can't see him at the transfer history and I can't select a new defender to train because every time I select a defender to train it says "you are already training someone" because I was training Tah at the moment he got deleted.
So I can never train a defender ever again in this season and my player is gone... -
