Why can't we? I heard that the problem was that managers weren't writing enough news, so why can t you just let us write and then fill the empty spaces with the standard ones like team of the week, etc....

Well main reason why this has been removed, is because the the majority of the users didn't use that function.
But it's always nice to see some other views on this subject.
