I couldn't remember the password for this account so I made a new one on my current email address, then I was able to log in on this account that I've had for years and deleted the account that I just made, however it won't let me link my email current email address to this account since I used it for my new one, is there any way I can sort this out as I don't use the email address linked to this account and I have no idea what my password is either.

Hi,
Since you have linked your other mail to the deleted account it's not possible to link it to this one, because you can't use one email address for more than one OSM account.
If you use the forgot manager name or password button you should be able to reset your password.
