Update bugs

When the 18/19 season started and there was the update, I was playing on my original account, The Adidas Man. But a few days after the update, I went on OSM and that account was gone, so I had to create a new one, which I linked with my email.
But with the January update coming, I'm very nervous because of the bug which happened to my original account. But if the same bug happens, will I be able to find it with my email, and will the teams that I'm managing still be in their slots?
