Special Event - Reducing scouting time

I get the notification saying there is a weekend event where the scouts only take 2 hours. So i send out a scout. But the timer says it won't be back for 16 hours.

Obviously it won't be back for 16 hours but will be back in 2 hours.

@vinayak-singh-mehra Obviously it will be back in 16 hours because that is the time that is counting down - 2 hours have already passed and the scout has not returned and the countdown continues.
This happened last week with the quicker training event. Event said they will be back in four hours, but took the normal 8 hours.

How come? In the training event my players would be ready in 4 hours only!

@jakethesnake12345 that is because you must have a bug in your game. Try to clean you cache and your data. See if it solves it. If the problem persist contact the support

There's no bug or any issue in this.
Event only started at 10 AM CET (9 AM UTC/GMT) and scout was sent at 08:51 UTC!
In order for scout to return in 2h he needed to be sent after the start of the event, not before
