Przed nami kolejny turniej międzynarodowy, miejmy nadzieję, że z udziałem "młodzieży" w doświadczeniu meczowym OSM, gdyż trwa proces rejestracji od dziś, a liczba miejsc jest ograniczona. U nas trwają co prawda wybory na nowego selekcjonera U21, ale w związku z tym, że jeszcze jestem ustępującym, ale nadal pełniącym obowiązki selekcjonera Polska U21 i czas nagli, to pozwoliłem sobie zarejestrewąć naszą drużynę,którą jednak wyselekcjonuje już nowy selekcjoner wybrany przez was @language-pl.

This competition, will have 2 phases, qualification phase and final. With 24 National teams in the qualification phase, and 12 teams in the final, which results of the first 2 classified, from each of the 6 groups of 4 National teams.

In the qualifying phase, we will have a Nation vs Nation system, which will comprise 3 rounds, in groups of 4 teams, distributed by leagues of 8 teams, as shown in the image below.

As you can see, on the left column, we have the different goals (G1 G3 G5 and G7), and then we have the distribution of each manager from each National team, between League 1, League 2, League 3 and League 4. For example, imagine that Portugal U21 is NT A, the G1 manager will play in League 1, the G3 will play in League 2, the G5 will play in League 3, and the G7 will play in League 4. So with this distribution, there will never be 2 coaches from the same team in the same league, and therefore the terms of the OSM are fully respected, with no "collusion games". And the definition of Nation vs. Nation can be observed, in the way the coaches of the same objective are grouped in the same league, and the teams of the same group, face each other, round after round, until everyone has faced each other. For example, Group A : NT A vs NT B in round 1, NT C vs NT D in round 1, NT A vs NT C in round 2, NT B vs NT D in round 2, and finally NT A vs NT D in round 3, NT B vs NT C in round 3.

The Final of Nations Cup U21, will have the same format of Nations Cup 2021, but with only 12 National teams, this means that that the top 2 in each group will qualify for the Final. So we will have 4 leagues of 12 teams. The distribution of the teams in the final will be similar to the image bellow.

In the next days, we will publish the table explaining, the distribution of the National teams, with 12 teams in 4 leagues.

Brief summary of the main requirements of the Nations Cup U21:

»» All managers, in all lineups, must be from the nationality that they represent;
»» Every National team, must register at least 6 managers, and the maximum of 8 managers;
»» By Under 21 manager, it is determined that this manager may not have less than 150 games in any slot, and a maximum of 700 games in any slot, and that he has never represented the main team, in the last 2 competitions of National teams (Nations Cup 2021 and New World Cup );
»» Each National team will be allowed to call a maximum of 2 managers who do not comply with the U21 manager requirements, which can be used, only in the qualification phase;
»» There will be no limitation of managers of the same Crew, as long as they comply with the previous requirements;
»» All National teams will be drawn, for the different groups, and there will be a draw for the PM, being determined, that the same National team, will have to create a league, more than once, depending on the result of the draw;
»» For the Final, it is determined, that any of the managers of the lineup of each National team, can be drawn for PM;

->> No Trainings Camps (TC) ;
->> No instant sales ;
->> No sales between humans ;

The expected schedule for the different stages of the Nations Cup U21 is as follows :

»» Between May 17th and May 23rd, request to open the official topic of the Nations Cup U21 ;
»» Between the 00:00 CET of 24th of May and the 23:59 CET of 2nd of June, registration phase of the National teams ;
»» Between the 00:00 CET of 3rd of June and the 23:59 CET of 12th of June, registration phase of lineups ;
»» On the 14th of June, the Nations Cup U21 begins ;

Nations Cup U21 Registration Walkthrough

Step 1 - Please insert your email adress and your National team name;

Step 2 - You must agree with Nation Cup U21 Regulation terms and conditions, insert the National team couch OSM nickname and Name;

Step 3 - (Optional) add an image (up to 10 Mb) of your National team Logo and a National Nick Name (for instace, India's players are known as "Tigers", and French are know as "Bleus") Then submit! You're done.

We kindly ask the cooperation of everyone, to keep this topic interesting and active, so any doubt about the competition, feel free to make your questions, as soon as we can, we will gladly answer. In the next days, we will give more detailed information, about the competition and its calendar, and will start sharing with community, some of the surprises we have prepared for you!

Qualifying Round Scoring System

The best 2 classified National Teams of each group (of 4), will qualify for the final.

The Scoring System to determine the classification, is as follows:

• 3 points per win
• 1 point per tie
• 0 points for defeat

In the event of a tie between 2 National Teams, the tiebreaker criterion will be as follows, in order of importance:

1. The difference between points obtained and points awarded
2. The direct confrontation between the 2 National teams
3. The amount of points obtained

Qualifying Round National Teams Line-ups

As we've been asked about the eligible players for the Tournament, we'll give a Lineup example for the Qualifying Round:

6 U21 players with at least 150 games in any slot, and a maximum of 700 games in any slot:

Player A - G1 (has 650 games in the slot with more games)
Player B - G3 (has 530 games in the slot with more games)
Player C - G5 (has 155 games in the slot with more games)

Player D - Substitute (has 217 games in the slot with more games)
Player E - Substitute (has 465 games in the slot with more games)
Player F - Substitute (has 465 games in the slot with more games)

Note 1. A U21 player can only be replaced, during a round, by another U21 player.

2 non U21 players with no restrictions on the number of games:

Player G - G9 (has 3434 games in the slot with more games)

Player H - Substitute (has 5211 games in the slot with more games)

Note 2. A non U21 player can only be replaced, during a round, by another non U-21 player.

The Lineups for each round in the qualifying fase (there'll be 3 rounds) must have a at least 6 players, and a maximum of 8 players. The use of non U21 players is optional. Between rounds, the lineups can be changed,

The Lineups for the Final must have a at least 6 players, and a maximum of 8 players, and all of them shall be U21 players.

Q - What do you think of the new format, in the qualification phase, of the Nations Cup U21?
Interesting format to look forward to. Brings a bit of an old battle feel to it since we will rival one nation per round and with three rounds instead of just one in the qualification round, it is a good opportunity for new managers in the squad to get enough chances to show their quality.

Q - After the Nations Cup 2021, we brought Nations Cup U21, what do you think about it?
Great idea to bring this through, it will help many national teams bring in new managers and prepare their main team for the next edition. With old battles banned, friendlies were once the best way to bring in new managers and test them against top managers but this initiative really helps selectors now to test out new talent in a competitive tournament like this.

Q - If there were an entity, to regulate National team competitions, do you think it would be useful? Why?
It will because in OSM it is important to preserve the history of national competitions and every national team. Any user that play this game can understand how their country does and get inspired by it. If we have a group of users who can sincerely preserve information on national competitions every year and other little details such as overall country ranking table and stats it will be a great addition to the game. It was a shame GB decided to delete the once preserved Nations Battle topic and stopped making rankings regularly. We need these back.

Q - If there were, a regional competition, like America Cup or Europe Cup, to qualify the finalists for the Nations Cup 2022, would you agree? Why?
I don’t necessarily agree with using those regional competitions to qualify finalists to Nations Cup, but I do like the idea of having regional competitions organized separately like America, Europe, Asia and Arab cup. It would be nice to have that

@FORMOZA: A więc tak to ostatecznie wygląda. Będą 3 rundy w eliminacjach, gdzie każda reprezentacja zagra przeciwko każdej. Zagra 4 menadżerów z każdej drużyny. W każdej rundzie eliminacyjnej może zagrać 1 menadżer, który nie grał ostatnio w National Cup i ma więcej doświadczenia niż 700 meczów na jednym koncie. Są trzy takie rundy, ale powołać można tylko dwóch takich menadżerów. Poza tymi 2 doświadczonymi, powołujemy od 4 do 6 menadżerów z kryteriami U21. Można ich dowolnie ustawiać i wymieniać w 3 kolejnych rundach. W finale: jedna runda - musi już zagrać 4 menadżerów z kryteriami U21. Menadżerowie z doświadczeniem meczowym powyżej 700 meczów nie mogą grać w finałowej rozgrywce.

After several questions, in the Representatives Whatsapp chat, we decided to clarify today on 2 topics: the competition format and the lineups.

The Nations Cup U21, composed of 2 distinct phases: the qualifying phase, and the final. The qualifying phase, takes place in 3 rounds, where all National teams play all against each other. For example :

Group A
Portugal
Spain
France
Italy

1st round
Portugal vs Spain
France vs Italy
2nd round
Portugal vs France
Spain vs Italy
3rd round
Portugal vs Italy
France vs Spain

As you can see, there are 4 National teams, in group A and in each round, a total of 3, at the end of all rounds, the first 2 teams that add more points will be selected for the final. There will be 6 groups of 4 National teams competing in the qualifying round, and 12 National teams will be selected for the final, the top 2 from each of the 6 groups. The scoring system that will determine the National teams is as follows : 3 points for victory (Nation vs Nation), 1 point for draw (Nation vs Nation) and 0 points for defeat (Nation vs Nation). In the event of a tie between 2 National Teams, the tiebreaker criterion will be as follows, in order of importance:

The difference between points obtained and points awarded;
The direct confrontation between the 2 National teams;
The amount of points obtained.

Now let's talk about lineups, in order to clarify all doubts. The lineup registration phase, that will end at 23:59 CET of 12th of June, will determine the U21 managers and non U21 managers that each National team, will bring for the 1st round or into all the Tournament. This means that, every National coach, can call 6 to 8 managers, being 6 of them U21 managers and 2 non U21 managers, for the whole tournament, or they can change lineup in the end of the 1st round. This process will happen again, in the end of the 2nd round, and this will be the last opportunity to change lineup, in the qualification phase. The criteria for U21 manager is applied to the whole tournament, this means that every time a National coach, change the lineup, must respect the number of U21 managers in the initial lineup (G1, G3, G5 and G7) that must be 3, and the non U21 manager that must be 1. If a National coach, decides to call only U21 managers, he can do it, and this rule doesn´t apply, because all the managers will be U21. Remember, that in the final, every National team, can call only U21 managers, the non U21 managers cannot play in the final. Between the end of round 1, and the end of round 2, we will publish the link for registering the lineups, for each of the rounds. It´s not mandatory, to change the lineup, if a National coach, wants to keep the same lineup since the 1st round until the 3rd round, he can do it, as long as he respect the rule of proportion of U21 managers(3) and non U21 manager(1) in the starting lineup. Remember, that a U21 manager can only be replaced by another U21 manager, and the same applies to the non U21 manager, except in the case that the National team has only U21 managers.

Q - What do you think of the new format, in the qualification phase, of the Nations Cup U21?
I really liked the tournament format a lot. Three preliminary phases to meet the finalists seem attractive to me as it gives the teams time to meet new talents and try out various managers.
Q - After the Nations Cup 2021, we brought Nations Cup U21, what do you think about it?
The truth, grateful because they have put a competitive tournament for the U21. Usually they are never made and the National Team is very stopped without disputing anything. So hopefully there will be many more U21 tournaments so that managers can play hard against teams from all over the world and gain experience. It is a nice initiative to encourage the National Teams in the search for talents.
Q - If there were an entity, to regulate National team competitions, do you think it would be useful? Why?
Yes, I think it would be useful. Because it would be an entity that only takes care of the National Teams, then there would be much more activity to play with each one's country. So it could be effective in the future if it happens.
Q - If there were, a regional competition, like America Cup or Europe Cup, to qualify the finalists for the Nations Cup 2022, would you agree? Why?
Sure, I would agree. It would be a nice prize for having played a long journey like playing 3 preliminary phases and awarding the finalists to a Copa America or Europe would be something attractive. Every tournament for the National Teams is welcome and even more so after the sad ban on traditional battles like WNT for example, which was the great World Cup for National Teams and I think we all miss it. So I am grateful that you organize these tournaments to keep all the countries active.

This is not, 4 managers from one Nation in one side and other 4 managers from another Nation in the other, like in the old battles style 4x4, every manager from the same Nation, are split into different leagues, in leagues of 8 teams, which means that there is 8 managers each one from a different Nation. And the idea of Nation vs Nation, that will occur in 3 rounds in each group, is based on achieving points, the Nation that achieve more points, win the round in a Nation vs Nation game. You can verify this, in the image bellow :
