As for the points, Manager points are completelly removed from OSM, all you have now is Manager medals. And as long as you play active and open leagues top 100 is hardly achieveable sadly. Too many medal manipulation allowed without enough ban regulation

Used to play this game alot back in the day was a kid back then so I have an awful record I had no clue what I was doing. Depressing though seeing how inactive the Forums are now though used to be very active back when I was playing.

@غير-مسجل_9 I was around that age but this was back in 2011/12 I'm 19 now. OSM used to be called OFM in the the UK. I obviously never revealed my age though because I'd have gotten ripped on.

I know this isn't quite one of my OG 2013-15 memories - I've done nothing but lurk on the forums for the past seven years - but but the messages you used to get while logging into OSM (even the last time I checked before today, which was the summer of 2021) used to be witty, hyperbolic comments about what football managers did. Now they're dry, ordinary comments about what OSM players can do.
I have been paying so little attention to OSM that I have only just learned that Gamebasics merged into Miniclip eighteen months ago. Miniclip? THE Miniclip? The guys who used to do 8 Ball Pool - one of the games us managers used to play back in the General Café all the way back in 2014? We had a league and everything! Curses be upon you if you accused me of dipping from my matches, because my internet connection was positively atrocious in those days! (It's not as if I remember who you were, anyway

It's just hit me - has it really been nine years since my Big Interview? You got more conversation in that thread over three days than you do on the entire Sports Bar forum in three months.

@nixieosm Then there were people in charge of forums who had a job to make forum active and interesting. Nowadays If we have a problem and wr post it on forum we wait 4 days for a reply from someone official (if we even get a response), so to have someone official who would work more on forum activity and forum quality is a science fiction sadly.
Different times and forum is not a priority at the moment for game owners. Just as game quality and game conpetitivity is being dulled with every single update which only purpose is to boost coin spending by newbies who start the game..

@Majstor-Matt in some nations (like Polish but I know that not only) community is moving to Discord, Whatsapp or Messenger. This is why forum is so inactive now days. Young people preffer direct contact with instant reply on DSC, Whastapp or Messenger rathet to wait days to get reply on forum....

Heyy it’s so strange coming back here every few years.. such a weird feeling- spent so many of my teenage years here (well on the old forums lol), sad to see not too many are left :(( Catch y’all in another 2 years do so lmao

In this very thread five years ago, I recalled my interactions with your brother, the legendary Mr.William.Football. (Fun fact: William was a moderator of the General Café subforum, predecessor of the Sports Bar, in the pre-2017 forum. At least he was during my Big Interview, where I made a snide comment about his modliness after telling a couple of somebodies I've forgotten to take their chatter to PMs.)
If I've managed to summon you by proxy after five years, I'd imagine you'd do a good job of summoning yourself directly within two years... or, as it were, twenty-two-and-a-half months. For what it's worth, this is my third login since June 2022 and I've made a habit of posting on the forums every time.
The Gamebasics homepage now says that "more than a million gamers play OSM every day." Imagine how big the number must be if you add all the nice, lovely, old-forum-era people who log in out of interest every few months... or years.

And also if someone wants to come back, OSM has a wonderfull policy of deleting your account details 2 or 3 years since last log in so there is no possibility to continue your account if you stopped for a longer time. Talk about customer respect..
All in all forums are dead nowadys and nothing happens here anymore as game is becoming more and more p2w valueing only recent success and recent investments.. cheaters ruling the game because they made OSM medals that value cheating more than competitive play..
But always nice to see legends of the game like yourself poping in from time to time. Reminds me of that good old OFM times

@Majstor-Matt Hi, Matt, yeah, I was really into this game for a long time, then just hit the wall I guess. Not unique as it's happened with Candy Crush and Criminal Case. I'll see how long I hang around this time. Interesting that you mentioned cheats as my first official role in OSM was as a Judge investigating claims of cheating. That just took off to where I would spend hours at a time just weeding out 1000s of people/accounts. Then Special One (he still here?) in his wisdom decided to make me a Community Manager. I think that's when the wheels started falling off my love of the game. Anyway, good to hear from you. Cheers!
