Any nostalgic managers still playing OFM?
-
Oh yeah, I stopped playing competitive for years so I totally forgot about the MP Ranking system change. That one for sure pushed away too many legends of the game. Years and years of hardwork pushed away in a moment. I cant believe that they havent considered putting some sort of "Legendary Ranking", at least in records page, which wuould honor most loyal customers and showed them respect by showing them how much MP's they earned in their whole career...
Worst decision this game ever made. I do support most of the aspect of nowadays ranking system, but there should be some sort of system that would benefit those most loyal as well.

Welcome back mate...i remember you...from the name...and yes, everything has changed toooo much...hope you enjoy the game as it is now.... -
@specialone Tijhouse left us... Did you hear that?
-
@furrax_nl Yes I did...
Sad loss for Gamebasics and for OSM...
For those interested on knowing a bit more about it, you can read it in here - Dutch only

@specialone This was the OSM Staff league...
Not OSM staff league
This was a team from 2009 OSM world championship. Team build up with active and ex staff members and also with Gamebasics accounts.... Almost a decade passed already!

The phrasing “nostalgic manager” sounds very kind. Haha. What makes one nostalgic tho?
-
I'm nostalgic on the Dutch version.

@furrax_nl no, you are not. You were annoying but people tolerated you for some reason. Still, not nostalgic
-
Hello everyone,
How are you doing? Glad to see some familiar people here.
Best of luck!

@Diar-is-the-best Hey buddy, welcome back to the forums

@tommy-timbers Hi Ken, hope you're well! Spurs looking good! Since we last spoke, I believe my team broke the 114 year Scottish Cup curse. What a day that was! My original user was pwhibs62. Sending you my best wishes from Edinburgh!

@tommy-timbers It was brilliant. As far as club anthems go, Sunshine on Leith has to be the best. I am probably a bit biased towards my club but it really is special. Hope Spurs can put on a show next season - they're good to watch but surely (Don't call me Shirley!
) this squad is due some silverware.
Hope you are having a good time in Pittsburgh and glad your team are going strong. Really is great to hear from you! Take care

@vinçentó-beçker_nl You can say what you want but I have changed.

I had many wonderful years on this game and, via the forums, made many good friends along the way, who I’m sorry I had to desert a few years ago. I’m glad to see that they are not entirely forgotten - indeed some of you are still knocking about in here!
I will always think of OFM fondly and was pleased to do my bit behind the scenes, as it were. It was largely thankless work of course with no real material reward to show for the hours we all put in (apart from the Christmas card and Doerak plush toy
) and yet I honestly do look back on my days here with a smile.
I must say how sad I was though to hear the news about Frank. Without him, none of these memories would exist. We rarely spoke (on account of Frank and Jeroen being a bit like royalty - except they actually did some work, unlike actual royalty) so our paths didn’t often cross, but when they did he was always friendly, open and grounded. I am thinking of him and his family at the moment, and how far reaching his efforts in life were, in terms of the treasured imprint this game has left on the memories of a handful of people dotted around the globe such as I. It’s a pretty cool legacy to leave. Sleep well Frank.
Gary, Matt, Albino, Ken, Paul, Adam, Diar, Xristos, Ruby - it’s great to see your names floating around albeit under unfamiliar aliases in some cases! I hope you’re all doing OK.
Take care everyone. Till the next reunion
