Any nostalgic managers still playing OFM?

@wrinkledpaulsack Hi Paul, how are you mate? Good to see you back in osm.
Hi mate. Not bad thanks, and how are you? Just check in now and again!

@majstor-matt I do recall winning one season and coming second the next, to yourself Matt! Maybe cliché but those were the days. The game has lost all identity now in my opinion. The layout, the name change, etc.
No Scotsman will ever defend the word Soccer.

@wrinkledpaulsack Paulllll.
I remember you very well. You won an epl predictor that I calculated for one season. Nice to see @Majstor-Matt around too.
Been a while guys, such a shame the old members have vanished completely (Ed, Aidan, big Phil, Iccy).

Fearless Aces FTW

Hey everyone! Jengiz here; good to be back

Yes, "Peter Holmes"
Been too long, 7 years I think since I joined, over 5 since I left. 8 since my first account.
What the bloody hell happened to the forums?
-
So what needs to change?
I think if there was more interaction between old and new managers and sharing tactics it might help. Likewise us newbies are behind the curve so kind of need to get to know you old heads better. FC of the Heart is a nice thread to start that off with. Maybe you old heads could get together and come up with some ideas of what worked in the past and become part of the solution.

@hans-orf Not much can change. Old days were epic forum wise. So much quality content, so much activity.. But game was different back in the days, nowadays its focusing more on android users and iOS users and thats why forums have no chance of being what they used to be. Also too many legends left the game as they felt that game does not respect their older customers so I really see no way of bringing old days back..

@d-chosen-1 Jengiz! One of my all-time favourites. Bring Pratik back!

Completely agree with you regards PC users, seems OSM powers at be are fixated on cornering the mobile market at the expense of the core established users. A bit like football clubs going corporate and ignoring the grassroots fan base.
Even a newbie like me can see how PC users are disadvantaged when it comes to features. Does seem somewhat unfair that user A who may spend as much time, effort and money as user B but does not get the same range of benefits.

Hey there buddy! Good to see you back haven't heard from Pratik in ages but hopefully he's doing well; would be great to see him return to the game!

This is what you guys are looking
Imagine if all guys from the golden days (even before your time) just decided to return too.... guess that we'll have a 'battle' between those above and these

Re: Any nostalgic managers still playing OFM?
I think the saddest part is seeing all the crews and staff members vanishing, people who I thought at the time would stay forever (luca pirlo, LordBinky, king mac, Ed, lumi75 etc). Even my crew ToT, all the main members have gone and likely they'll never return. If they had kept the forums with the original game this place would be much more lively.
Btw, I took quite a lot of screenshots of the old game which I will try to find. And. Matt you're like a pillar of these forums it is great seeing your name

@hans-orf Hi
Sadly the vast vast majority of users are on the app, and less people are using PC's for things with tablets taking over etc, so it is kind of to be expected that the forums are declining. Adding forums to app would really help, but don't think it's in the developers plans as its a). hard to do and b). wont really add much to the actual game, which is understandable I suppose...
But still think things can definitely be done, the forums were updated a while back and function better than they used to for sure!

Well, maybe and unfortunately the developers have their own goals geared towards mobile user numbers and do not care about the core original user base. You do see this across many platforms and tech. It is a risk as that loyalty that you will not necessarily get with app (2/3rds of apps on phones remain regularly unused) users cannot be re-earned if the users have already left. Longevity is clouded by short-term gain or losing keeping your eye on the centre, look at Kodak for example.
I saw this with FM too, whereby they have lost many loyal fans (myself included) by becoming overcomplex or not catering to establised user needs.
