Crew Battles And Tornaments

So I've been on OSM for the better part of 5 months now, and am confused about Crew Battles and Tournaments. How do they work?

Crew battle is a match between two crews. Each crew will have 5 managers representing them playing in a league of ten teams and the member of each crew picks a team with different goals so that each crew member has different goals and both crews have one of its members picking the same goal team ranging from G1, G3, G5, G7 and G9. Whichever crew that scores more point wins.
In friendly battle the captains decide the rules but in tournaments the organization set the rules every crew plays by and can penalise or disqualify crews who intentionally go against the rules. -
