It depends on their age, and overall. It is sometimes very hard to choose. But a 30-year-old, high-rated player will be a better captain than a 33-year-old but a low-rated player. So it just depends so try it out. It will also tell you if they are a good captain in the "Match Details".

@Richard-scandals yes, as long as he is the oldest in your starting eleven, that is what matters in a captain
