HISTORICAL TOURNAMENT: WORLD 2002
Every month we give you the opportunity to play a temporarily available Tournament! This month: World 2002.

In 2002 Brazil won the world title for the 5th time in history, but South Korea was the surprise of the tournament! The host country reached the semi-finals where they eventually lost 1-0 to Germany.

NEW TOURNAMENT: OSM EUROS 2020

The OSM Euros 2020 Tournament is now available in OSM!

The selections for the OSM Euros 2020 Tournament have been announced, so from June 11th the best European countries will compete for the title!

Do you choose title holder Portugal with Cristiano Ronaldo or will you choose Griezmann's France?

Can you win the OSM Euros 2020 Tournament in OSM before July 11th? Then you have a chance of winning a nice reward. The following prizes will be raffled among the winners: 1x 1,000 Boss Coins and 5x 500 Boss Coins. In addition, the first 2020 winners of the Tournament will receive a VIP League ticket as a prize!

Goodbye Manager Points

Today is the day we say goodbye to Manager Points.

Divisions and Manager Medals have been well received by our managers and are a worthy replacement for the Manager Point system. Manager Medals give a better indication as they count across all manager slots and you can be promoted and relegated.

This means that from June 9th Manager Points will no longer be visible in OSM.

To reward the managers in the top 10.000 (world) or top 1.000 (NL) Manager Points ranking we'll be giving them a top 10.000/ top 1.000 Manager Points Legacy Achievement and a ticket to take part in a VIP League.

The managers in the top 10.000 (world) or top 1.000 (NL) will receive the Achievement and the VIP League ticket within a week. Good luck in playing and competing for the highest Division!

Android update
At OSM we always want the best for our managers and to guarantee this we continue to update the app with improvements.

To keep the quality of the app high, we've decided that as of June 29 we'll no longer support Android version 4.4 (KitKat). When a forced update has to be made you're no longer able to play OSM from that moment on.

So it's important to update Android to version 5.0 (Lollipop) before June 29 to continue playing OSM!

Every month we give you the opportunity to play a temporarily available Tournament! This month: Africa 2008.

In 2008 Egypt won the Africa Tournament for the 6th time by beating Cameroon 1-0 in the final, thanks to a winning goal by Aboutrika!

Congratulations to Italy for winning the 2020 European Championship! After finishing first in the group stage, Italy also beat Austria (2-1) in the eighth finals.

In the quarter-finals they knocked out Belgium and in the semi-final they won against Spain after a nerve-wracking penalty shootout.

As a tribute to Italy, 5 Italian Euro Legends will appear on the Transfer List! FYI: to buy a Legend on the Transfer List, you pay the normal Club Funds amount + 100 Boss Coins.

COPA AMERICA WINNER: ARGENTINA!
Congratulations to Argentina for winning the Copa América!

They finished first in Group A, then recorded a 3-0 victory against Ecuador in the quarterfinals.

In the semi-final they won against Colombia after a penalty shoot-out and took the cup in the final against Brazil!

Results community battle survey

Thanks for all the input, we got 700+ reactions from a survey that was shared only in the community! We're especially proud of that number since it's representative for so many hardcore managers.

About the results.

1. A large majority would like Training Camps to be disabled in Battles (which they already are).
2. A small majority would like Secret Trainings to be disabled in Battles.
3. A large majority would like instantly finishing timers to be disabled in Battles.
4. A majority would like compensating Club Funds to be disabled in Battles (which it already is).
5. A majority is satisfied with the current leagues that Battles are played in.
6. Everyone is equally divided on the frequency of changing the Battle settings.

A loud, clear and understandable message from the pro's. A tactical and equal Battle is what you all want. So that's what we're going to do. The next Battle update will be with all Boss Coin settings off! Besides that we will keep the current league rotation system, with big leagues and small leagues.

You can expect this update on August 11. We'll keep updating the settings roughly every 4 months in the future.

NEW TOURNAMENT: N/C AMERICAN GOLD CUP

The N/C American Gold Cup is now available in OSM!

In 2019, Mexico won the N/C American Gold Cup for the eighth time by winning 1-0 against United States. The winning goal was scored by midfielder Jonathan dos Santos.

Will you also try to win the title with Javier Hernandez's Mexico? Or do you pick the host country United States with Christian Pulisic?

Gamebasics donates 50% of the money that all of our managers spend on the special Cruyff Foundation packages to the Cruyff Foundation! If you buy a package, you''ll have a chance of winning a portrait of Johan Cruijff, with Ronald Koeman's signature!

This year Gamebasics has once again partnered with the Cruyff Foundation because of the perfect fit between OSM and the legacy of Cruyff. Together, we enable people to have fun through football.

There are already 266 Cruyff Courts in 22 different countries. Soon there will be two Cruyff Courts named after Virgil van Dijk, a special Cruyff Court in Liverpool for children with disabilities. And the field where he grew up will be renamed Cruyff Court Virgil van Dijk.

Your contribution really makes a difference. The Cruyff Foundation needs 15.000 euro for one of their future projects. We aim to donate this with the whole OSM community!
