NEW: Missions
Introducing a new kind of challenge in OSM: Missions. Missions are all about using your manager skills to work towards an objective. Unlike with Events, no changes are made to the gameplay. Your effort and skill will decide. And to finish it off, there's a special prize for the winner.
First Mission: the North Macedonian World Star
North Macedonia did well in Euro 2020 but they didn't manage to become real world stars. This Mission is about picking up where they left off. What's your job? Turning a North Macedonian player into a World Star (100+) during the Mission.
This Mission runs from September 7, 10 AM to September 10, 10 AM (CEST). If you manage to get a World Star North Macedonian player, you completed the Mission. A randomly selected winner will get a Champions League match worn jersey of the legendary Goran Pandev at Napoli. Please note: Special leagues are excluded. Good luck
-
really nice new feature but the reward should be a choice of jersey and/or a bunch of boss coins.
you can wager the better benefit for the community should be the coins.
Well you are the boss, your decision and just my five cents.

Just wondering how much boss coins need to be spent speeding timers up in 3 days to get a world star with Macedonia
-
Why is North Macedonia with low quality players and not countries with 85-90 quality players? And in 3 days? Nice joke.
-
Nice to see new stuff, but sadly always the same, new stuff always focused only towards coins spending and never towards something that requires real gameplay and tactical knowledge.
Good luck to everyone who think they can get something out of this lol

@majstor-matt If this version turns out to become a success, we'll keep doing it. Any ideas for a second version?
-
@jeffro-davies around 2.5k coins, have done it already with Enis Bardhi of Levante from 79 to 100.

@jeffro-davies 26 years old.

Hey!
Thanks for trying to improve, but I don't see the point of this mission in particular, honestly.
The amount of BCs we have you use it's massive. And the reward isn't that appealing.I like the "Mission" concept, but for that to work the players must feel that it's reachable and know that they will win something if they achieve the mission. We cannot depend on a draw after investing time and BCs.
An example of a reachable Mission:
-Win 12 games in 3 days.Think about it!
Cheers!

I don't understand what privileges this event brings me with the purchase of Macedonian players. I bought one and what next?

@harry-poon how about rewarding battle champions (1st place) but this to be only for top100 crews? (Because some managers may go to 1 star crew so they can get 1st place easier) Actually is Austria league and at the end of the league after two weeks (when battle league will change) a random winner gets t-shirt of any Austrian player or maybe coins reward?

Great idea, I was always thinking that there should be some award for battle performances, at least in the form of achievements if nothing.
But I wouldnt exclude anyone, I'd give chance to all crews, but make some coefficient for every rank, as of course win versus 3 star crew cannot be valued the same as win vs OSM Division crew. (just like there are coefficient for European Golden Boot in football and goal in Bundesliga is worth more than a goal in Croatian league).

Hi Harry!
Other examples:
-Having 0 Yellow Cards during the mission period
-Clean sheets in every match during the mission period
-100% shooting efficiency in one game during that periodThose are some mission examples that you guys can implement.
Cheers, mate!

Like the idea! One thing we have to take into consideration here is that Missions are for all OSM managers. There are over a million.
Maybe we can think of something that's feasible for everyone? It can still be something with Crews since almost everyone can join.
-
@majstor-matt Good idea to not set restrictions. But it's hard to find a Mission that's equal for everyone because of the difference in Divisions/crew points etc.
-
@ruipsc5 Hi mate, thanks! Especially like the idea of the clean sheets. Yellow cards is pretty much just setting Tackling to careful and hope for the best right? Shooting efficiency is hard to achieve as well. Clean sheets gives more control to the manager. Any other ideas? Anyone?

When you're gonna pick the winner of this mission if it hasn't been yet?
