I believe when it comes to just regular competitions it is a little bit luckbased. If you are lucky you can choose every team in a single league while it is in its preperation days.
If not, sometimes the good teams will be available but most of the times they are because the team is not doing well in the competion, and most of the times the competion has already started and thus you have a disadvantage.If you have a lot of bosscoins you have 2 choices to pick your favourite team:

Use 200 bosscoins to pick your team. When a team is already selected, you can pay 200 bosscoins to enter a new competition with that same team, most of the time in its preperation days

pay a set amount of bosscoins to create your own league, thus letting you choose every team you want to pick. The amount of bosscoins you have to pay for this depends on the size of the league (the amount of clubs). This way you can also set rules like allowing transfers, etc.
