Big game for Croatian team tonight. Battle for the top spot (and bit easier draw towards semifinals) with actual European Champions Germany.. wont beeasy, Germany is the favourite in this one, but I believe in our boys, they can do it if they play their best! AJMO KAUBOJI!

@Majstor-Matt Hey Matt! Been so long since I came here, it looks like a totally different game!

As for your game, I'd normally wish you luck but if we lose to Sweden, as I expect, we face the runner-up of your group, and I really would like to avoid Germany

Our game vs Sweden should be a tough one though, a draw in the last world cup and we beat them in Rio

Germany was the best team in this group, and we had(our Hungary and your Croatia )only a small chance to beat them, but I think that now maybe only the Danish and French team is better than Germany.

One hour, and our last match, we play against Belarus.

And a reply for the whole tournament until now.
I think the biggest favourites are Denmark, Germany and France. I think that for France maybe it will be a bit hard to win at home.
In A group for me Norway´s good performance and Poland´s bad was interesting(but i heard a lot of new name´s, so maybe that´s why they couldn´t get through).
The B group won easily Spain, there was for me a bit disappointed that neither Slovenia, Macedonia and Island could stop them. But i think that the 4 best teams of the group got through).
In group C the biggest favourite was Germany, and they won the group. Before the tournament i thought that maybe Croatia and we will play against them a good match. We only lost the match in the last 10 minutes, but Croatia also had the chance. We lost against Germany in the first half László Nagy, our biggest star so this tournament is for us from then more harder. But Xabate is a great trainer, and i hope that he will send us to the best 8. The three lower teams, Belarus, Chile and Saud-Arabia had the same chances for place 4.
In group D Denmark, Sweden and Qatar were all favourites, but Qatar played a bit low(but i think hat they lost also good players, such as Poland). Egypt had a good group stage, Sweden also(i can´t tell it about Denmark yet, because they will play against Qatar in 40 minutes). But for Denmark is the reality that they will win the group as 100%.
We Hungarian will play against Denmark if Belarus beats us, and against Sweden if we beat Belarus and Denmark beats Qatar.
It will be a difficult match, but it will be a great chance to win against a good team(we lost the match in the last 20 minutes against Germany and Croatia too).

We unexpectedly lost our last match in the group against Belarus. So we had one of the best teams, Denmark. We have only a small chance unfortunately, but i hope Xabate will solve this. Sweden would be much easier opponent. But if we lose, it would not be so big problem, good teams already fell out, like Iceland or Macedonia.

Great game yesterday: :flag_br: 27-28:flag_ea: . We suffered more than predicted , the Brazilians played an excellent game, but the important thing is we are in quarterfinals. We await to Croatia or Egypt

Sensation!
I think that it was our best game in the last two years.
Finally we had a good goalie, Mikler saved like in Veszprém, we had Nagy, who helped with being there, Jamali played also well, i can´t name a player who played bad.
Next game against Norway, maybe we can play as good against another Scandinavien team.

Day with sensational results continues, Qatar knocks out European champion Germany! I hope at least we against Egypt will defend the honour of favourites and win :=)

Oh well, attacking wise this wasnt a grat game, but at least our defense did good job and we are in quarterfinals. Against Spain, if we want any chances, our attack will must be much much better. Lets go Croatia!!

@vince13carter Of course there are many teams playing good handball nowadays, there are plenty of styles teams an adjust to, but let's be realistic, in last 5 or so years there are some teams that are slightly above others. And those teams are Denmark, France and Spain and they are always main candidates for medals and of course its always surprising to see them out early. Denmark was brilliant in group stage and was trashing everyone easilly while Hungary lost 3 games in group and of course Denmark was big favourite to win that one. Surelly a surprise. Qatar hasnt played great in this tournament so far as well, whie Germany was brilliant and Germany was only team that won 2 medals in 2016 on big competitions (Gold at Euro and Bronze at Rio), also Qatar doesnt have all those "bought" players anymore, many of those left only Capote and 2 or 3 more are left

@vince13carter Sure, I get what you are saying. I didnt said that results individually were sensations though, I said that day has sensational results - as both Olympic and European champions were knocked early on the same day

Same thing for our game with Spain. It wont be sensation, but if we win it will be a little surprise, as from everything we saw in tournament so far I must be realistic and admit that Spain is firm favourite in our match.
