Training matches and tips

Good evening,
I played this game years ago and want to try it out again
My team have to finish 7th(Heereveen). And i just played all the training matches, and i only lost and draw against 2 of the 3 best teams(Ajax 1-2 & PSV 1-1). Is this good ??Tips and trics are welcome as well. Its been a long time i actually played this games and i see a lot of changes

Think i still have it in me. Just won 3-0 against Fc Utrecht
But after it i only lost the training match against the same Fc Utrecht
