Resignations

Being new to this, when I join a league I look at the profiles of other managers. and I've been surprised at the number of times some have resigned.
I would understand a few for a new manager, but I am talking of between 40-150. and I wondered what others thought of this?. -
Sometimes people resign when they realise that their target is going to be difficult to reach. Or when they lose the first round of the cup, or when they lose the first 2 matches. Some people keep going regardless, some people resign quickly.
