- too many players are put in certain positions, while in real life they play couple positions
Yes, some players can play on several positions in real life. But most of them have one favourite specific position. The position in which the player features most, is used as their specific position in OSM.
Reminder: players still perform on their line. Specific position is just an additional bonus. Is it possible to make wingers play as side midfielders without being in the wrong position?
@Ado-Hackovic no you can't. It has been told that you the players will still perform worse on the other lines. You would rather play him a striker or a right winger.

You didn't understand my question

So after few days of testing this, few remarks: I think it's a nice move for this game to become a bit more complex, and not just series of selling/buying players to push those values up. But definitely it will prove some aspects of this game to be hard, especially for new players.
*Transfer lists should change the way they work. There should be more flexibility in terms of what kind of players are offered there. Transfer inactivity of the league will often lock the transfer list being populated. I've noticed this since nobody is trading in one of my leagues, and for example, defenders on transfer list almost never change, unless I'm the one buying the top player and reselling him just to "unlock" the transfer list.
*Scout is BROKEN! I mean, the option for top player shouldn't be 85+. Most of us push through bigger leagues quite fast in terms of team building, and after 10 matchdays, we usually have 95+ team, and with the player positions being introduced, we have to use scouts more often ( not cool for free to play players, but ... ) , but scout comes empty handed offering players of low quality. Add 90+ option there too, if you're already kind of forcing us to use scout.

As I sometimes play with an extremely bloated squad of 30 - 45 players (albeit value and quality lower than those managers playing with small squads) you would think that the new player positions et-up would greatly favour me. However, as many have already said before, this is just another example of GB
considering their financial advantages over the many millions of managers not in a position to buy a player from scout.
All managers should be advised of the implications of using 'out of position' players in their teams. A full accounting of the weighting used should be known to all managers - suggest a full table of the negative effects that all out of position players will have on a result against teams of higher or lower ranking and manager ranking be placed on the Forum. Even better you could send a mail shot to all players with a paper table they can use to set-up their teams.
My biggest gripe at the moment relates to the issuing of the daily medals following matches. In the last month my few match losses have cost me a deduction in my total medal count of around 1500 medals per match, yet having won up to 9-0 only generated 66 medals. I have finished 2 seasons and had 422,170 medals on 3rd February yet last night my total was 415,452 medals (gaining only 274 medals from 4/4 matches won yesterday. At this rate it will take another 25 days to get back to my earlier total, assuming I don't lose another match. As I usually play with relegation fodder (teams ranking 16 in leagues) I expect to lose many matches in earlier part of season when playing higher ranked teams (irrespective of the quality of the manager) or through timing (not in house to put in players that have been training prior to match) or being camped (with stupid percentage advantage given by spending Boss Coins) - and now lack of balanced squad through ill conceived positional set-up.
It is getting to the stage now that we need a Freebies/ small pocket league and a separate one for those that wish to buy their success. Currently we have a ridiculous situation where we have a list of 'Legends' where managers with the largest squad value are being hailed as heroes or legends, yet the only quality needed is being rich (or having a rich parent). GB to add a column to right hand side of the ranking of 'Legends' to indicate how much was spent to achieve such ranking - let us all see the extent of this nonsense. The title needs to be amended and only real legends of this game to be included such as historical top managers, those winning WC or crew battles etc.
The transfer list includes too many players that have to be bought at additional 5 Boss coins, usually strategically ranked/valued players (say €5-6m with next cheapest on transfer list being €16m), where many will not have any option other than to pay or go without and suffer a weakened team. -
@neil-warn what you said is really true. But remember, GB wants to earn money so they will obviously have strategies to earn money, unknowingly punishing those who do not use money to play the game.
In GB's eyes, I believe that they feel that those pay to win players are more well respected then those who consciously log in a few times every single day to check progress and place players into the lineup... -
@aweijie It's true, but the reality is that the non-paying managers find the difference with the paying managers too big. I have left this game before for this reason. And it's still too much pay-to-win.
Also the new player positions: some positions are rare on the transfer list, so the managers that buy players via the scout get a bigger advantage now. I hope GB changes the system, but (as usual) we have not received any reply on questions / suggestions except from SpecialOne on the implementation day.
I still have no clue if a 90 skill DC is better as a DR than a DR with 85 or equal to a DL with 89 skill.

@vinayak-singh-mehra no you are the only one who s happy with this boss coins spending update
-
@shaqinho
Ok, the feature's great, but I am in the Crew Cup and can't find the specific player I want. Neither I use scout as he asks for 15 boss coins. -
@koningco he is celebraiting 15k games
@SpecialOne parabéns

Please make specific player position visible on the website as well. Is not a difficult thing to do...

@specialone Can you let us know if our feedback in this topic is discussed with GameBasics?
After a weekend with a lot of transfer opportunity I still have the opinion that this Player Position updates reduces my tactical options. I have to focus on 1 formation like 4-3-3 A because I need specific players like a DM and an extra DC for 3-4-3 B. If I have to play 4-2-3-1 then I also need to buy 2 side midfielders. Before this tactics I used at least 4 different formation per season, but now I have to focus on one formation because it's too expensive to have for example 2 side midfielders which are ineffective in 4-3-3 A.
Also I can't improve my team as much as before. Because I need very specific replacements when I sell a player, for example a Left Forward when I sell my left forward. The transferlist if very vulnerable, because most of the time there is only 1 Left Forward available that is good enough. If someone else buys that Left Forward than I don't have a good player on that position anymore. Before the changes I could buy a forward with 14 defense and use him as a left forward, but now this costs me points when my opponent has more players on their best position. So this Player Position update does not only reduce tactical choices when it comes to formations, it also limits my opportunities to trade and build my squad via the transfer list.
-
One more addition: it is more difficult to replace an injured or suspensed player now. Because of the lack of players on some positions it's not possible to replace for example Walker by a new DR because there is no DR on the transfer list. And placing a DC with 17 attack rate on DR now costs more points in the new system while is was a decent option in before the Specific Player Positions were introduced.
GB has to be aware that OSM is not like Fifa Manager where you can buy every player you want. Or they should change the scout price to 1 coin just like the transfer list.

We should be informed about how exactly having players in their right place affect the teams
Yesterday I lost to a lesser team( by 6 ) with 3 players out of position ( my team all in positions) and Home ( my stadium is ️️) and he was parking the bus in 451 without Original LM/RM/CAM
- I had more possession, shots and corners too
So actually I dont get it anymore
Should I limit my self to formation that suits the specific positions of my players ?! Or it doesn’t have that much effect? Is it like chemistry by nation ( having 6 players is enough) or what any other number ?!

You're the manager. It's your 'job' to learn and understand which is the best way to achieve your goal.
It's your call if you want to buy enough players from same nationality to get the nationality bonus
It's your call if you want to have 2 or more specialists to line up when others can't be lined up
It's your call if you want to play with 'native' position players on every specific positionLike in real life, there are no 2 players that are simulated exactly the same. So if both teams play against each other with exact same line ups and settings, things won't happen exactly the same. Outcome may be the same, but goals won't happen at exact same minute, neither anything else.
You, as manager, will have to make your choices and see what works best in the long run. Take advantage of ALL bonus or just leave bonus aside and improve on quality of squad in a way that it will overcome the bonus provided by these features!

Good morning to all.
@koningCo Some points that you mentioned really deserve to be improved by GB. Namely the lack of positions in the transfer list and the exaggerated cost of the scout. But, it seems to me that you are conditioning your game a lot due to this new update. Too much even.
I remember that if you don't play with specific players in the right positions, they will not play worse than what they played. They will play exactly the same as they did before this update. The difference is that players in the right position will receive a "little extra". This "little extra" must never undermine your strategy and way of playing. -
@mαhmouժ-muhαmmαժ it is clear to me.
You will have chemistry whenever you line up at least 6 players of the same nationality. And this bonus is the same whether lines 6, 7 or 11.
In relation to specific positions, the bonus is made individually. Player by player. Each player in the specific position gets a small performance bonus. The more you have, the better! -

Ok I did all of that all and worked on every bonus possible ;
- had all players on the right position
- had a lineup with 6 players from Portugal and 4 from Italy and the subs also from both countries
- Had Ronaldo a captain and Bruno freekicks and corners
- had 2 stars playground home advantage
- had a better starting eleven in all positions ( not a single position he had a better player than mine
- also had form back to back wins
- had more possession, more shots, more corners in the game
And lost the game 2/1 with him scoring in the first shot in both halfs ( 1,46)
-
@mαhmouժ-muhαmmαժ I had an awesome squad (112 average) , unbeaten all season and lost a single match against a CPU team (3/4 rounds before end of season) with around 75 average. Lost 1-0
That's football, lucky, randomness whatever you want to name it. But if football/OSM engine was giving mathematic results I'm sure that no one would like it.
