Best meta for selling players

What's the meta on selling players and best approaches?
I remember at some point it was 'a rule' of selling for 85% of the max for the players above 80. This was done in order to still maintain a profit and not have your player linger on the TL for days.

- Always sell players for the max price if they are rated under 83
- If a player is rated between 83-91, calculate the price as follow: highest possible price - player value = best possible price to sell.
- If a player has a higher rating then 91, calculate the price as follow: highest possible value - player rating + 5 million.
This always works for me.
