I have been playing for nearly 10 years and have never posted on here. Have been ranked no.1 in Hong Kong for a few years and reached a max of around 500 worldwide. However, I felt pretty upset and angry logging into the game today and finding out manager points are being replaced with medals. I've never had a problem with medals so long manager points existed. I only play with one slot so its takes much longer for me to gain medals but that's my choice so I don't mind taking longer to climb up the medal ranks.
However, what is the damn point of replacing the manager points system?
Disregarding the poor implementation and rules of the medal system, why change a core aspect of the game for over a decade? If you want people to keep playing your game you have to give them a goal as an incentive to keep playing and trying such as achievements/ trophies or a ranking system. That becomes meaningless if you replace the ranking system every few years.I do not feel incentivized to keep playing this game if the ranking system changes or resets as that is 10 years of work in the game gone.
I have no issue if you introduce new ranking metrics or achievements down the line to keep interest within the game or attract new players. There is no problem with a new ranking system even if becomes more advertised or 'central' to the game (like manger medals has been in the last few years) so long you KEEP the old ranking method around.If the game ends up changing the ranking system who knows then maybe in a year or 2 all past achievements or league titles will be gone and replaced with a new system.
And at that point what's the point of playing the game?

And nobody wants to take a closer look at it or give some official statement about it as I see..I donβt know why youβre so surprised about lack of feedback from staff or admin mate, you have been around the forums a very long time. They have always had the attitude to not answer people about certain subjects on the forums. But they expect everyone to give them feedback by talking between each other all the time. Even on social media itβs the same.

Next question: when are your developers fixing the issues with the medal system itself and come up with a better system? Meaning; The medal system only indicates how many bosscoins (and money) a manager spends on the game and not how good of a manager you really are! For example, in a 39 rounds competition after 16 matchdays I had 3 training camps against me already (end of the season it will probably be 8 training camps against me), since they think I am a thread/better manager(?), leading to 2 losses and 1 draw and 4th place in the competition and 5 points behind #1. While on ManagerPoints I still was 2nd on the managerslist with 1600MP, now with Medals I am number 8 on the managerslist with -2233medals! It takes away all the fun playing OSM was until yesterday, it only makes playing OSM frustrating, which means managers will quit. Please take a close look at all the forums, so far everybody has the same opinion except GB, howcome?
Indicating surveys have shown managers liked this medal system better? You might be right, but then please show us the numbers, not only a percentage but also number surveys subscribed, ranking of the participants, experience of the managers, the way the questions were formulated, etc. I have not seen a survey, and I have not seen one reaction on the forum anyone did see a survey.
If GB wants a system which is driven by bosscoins (and money) spend on the game, fine, but then please be honest about it.

Hahaha, what an odd update this was. So in order to stay in + with medals, you have to play dead leagues without managers. You win against manager, here is +60 medals, boy. You lose - I'll take few thousand of those from you. Who came up with this hahah. I'm really laughing at the show that's going on.

@danteus I thought that this new way of ranking could have one advantage, and that is that it is easier to find cheaters and suspend them. However, although they are easy to find, their account is not suspended. Why?

@biobas_nl @Lirind Seems like it's a visual bug on web. Our developers will work on fixing the timer, but the ticket is valid for 90 day from now on.
@alyssagb @SpecialOne There is a bug in the VIP league we can play as top 10.000 managers. The player positions like LF, ST and CMare not visible for players in the current squad. Can you please act a.s.a.p.? Can this be fixed now my VIP league has already started?

@koningco and the fact that the line-ups for 2020 did not surprise you? or that the league doesn't have any idea? they did it in haste long before the introduction of specific positions )
Just give it some time and you'll find out that medals will be more balanced and according to the manager level/skills.

@wenger-wise No I didn't notice that at my team Real Madrid (not many changes since summer 2020 and I never played with Real before). Does this mean that we play the VIP League without player position without the impact of new specific positions? Even when we buy new players which do have a specific position?

@koningco i just assume that for new players the bonus will work, but for default ones, most likely it will not

Bring back managerpoints! I've been playing the game since 2006 and this medal system is one of the worst updates OSM has ever done (Together with having to use boss coins for every player you buy).

this metal ranking is really bad for OSM, you'll play in dead leagues very soon, cause it's easier to get those medals then...
i'm playing OSM since 2006 !non stop! and this is by far the worst update i've witnessed.OSM doesn't look at what their players want. it went downhill for a long time now, since OSM 3.0 started actually. 2.0 was the best

@jeffro-davies I am level 10 bro. I'm so annoyed with the game devs right now. I'm sitting top on 3 saves with 1 or 2 losses each and 3rd on my other which I'm 5th on squad value, all teams with lowest target other than my squad battle I'm target 1. Negative medals on all of them right now. The managers I've lost to are mostly also level 10. This system is really demotivating me to play.
