@sirclitjeslikker_nl Lol it was last match of the group and Dinamo was bottom for sure, what should've they do? Play like its their life on stake? Of course they played bit casual that game. And after all, Ajax had 2 direct games with Lyon and havent won a single one of those, so its their own fault for not qualifying.

@majstor-matt Well, Zagreb was still 1-0 ahead at halftime. In the second half, you barely see any Zagreb defenders moving anymore and they concede 7 goals. I will always wonder what happened in the dressing room.

But you are right, there is no clear evidence to prove anything and we should not been dependend on another match. Ajax wasn't that good from 2005 to 2015 and we couldn't beat Lyon.

At the same day as Zagreb-Lyon though, 2 of our goals against Real madrid where cancelled that were cleary onside. We would probably have qualified otherwise and that makes everything even more suspicious.

Might have been too harsh on Zagreb the other day. I rather see champions from smaller countries like Zagreb in the Champions League than another English or Spanish team.

Dinamo's victory was unexpected. Orsic is a machine!
Shakhtar's victory at Leipzig was surprising. Great work by Croatian coach Igor Jovicevic.

A great night for Croatians.

Yesterday was the opening night of the champions League.
We have been waiting for long. The first two matches were Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 Chelsea
Dortmund 3-0 Copenhagen

Dinamo Zagreb surprised us with a win over Chelsea. We all know that Chelsea is not in form lately but still Dinamo Zagreb played world class football.
Dortmund had a nice win over Copenhagen.

Haaland is the boss even in Champions League scoring two goals for Man City in the win against Sevilla 4-0

Real Madrid won easily VS Celtic. Karim Benzema was sadly injured in the 30th minute and was replaced by Hazard.

There were many surprises last night for example:
RBSalzburg1-1ACMilan
RB Leipzig 1-4 Shakhtar Donetsk

Benfica won comfortably2-0

And the most exciting match of the night PSG VS JUVENTUS which has been won by PSG 2-1.

There is still plenty of matches waiting to excite us today

Hi,
Yesterday were the final matches of Matchday one.
Ajax smashed Rangers 4-0 with beautiful goals.
Frankfurt had a nice first half but in the second half it was a nightmare for Frankfurt.
The most highly intense match was Bayern Munich VS Inter Milan which was at the end an easy win for Bayern Munich winning 2-0.
Barcelona smashed Viktoria Plzen 5-1 with Lewangoalski (Lewandowski) scoring a hat-trick.

Athletico Madrid won 2-1 against Porto with all the three goals scored in the injury time. It was the most dramatic match of the night.
Tottenham won 2-0 against Marseille with a double from Richarlison.
Club Brugge won 1-0 VS Leverkusen.

And the most shocking match is Liverpool VS Napoli.
Napoli shove Liverpool aside winning 4-1.

Yesterday was a night full of surprise as expected in Champions League football,
Inter Milan won 2-0 against Viktoria Plzen as expected,
Sporting CP won a surprising match against Tottenham 2-0
Liverpool won 2-1 with a late goal by Matip
And Bayern Munich showed his class beating Barcelona 2-0,
Club Brugge shoved Porto aside with a devasting win of 4-0
Francfurt defeated Marseille 1-0 ,
And the last match Bayern Leverkusen defeated Athletico Madrid 2-0

Leverkussen, Sporting, Frankfurt en most of all Club Brugge surprised me with these wins!

That Benfica won and Sevilla played a 1-1 did'nt surprised me.

The matchday two of the Champions League is now over so now we need to be patient for 19 days so that Champions League football is back.
First of all the day was as usual with plenty of surprise.
Celtic grabbed their first ever Champions League points and years with a draw with Shakhtar Donetsk of 1-1
Ac Milan won comfortably VS the Croatian team Dinamo Zagreb 3-1
Napoli who is doing very well crushed Ranger 3-0 ,
The first match of Graham Potter didn't go well as they drew against RB Salzburg 1-1.
The most successful team in the world was successful again winning against RB Leipzig2-0,
Copenhagen did a nice draw VS Sevilla 0-0
Benfica won a surprising match which was in favor of Juventus at the start of the game as they were winning 1-0 but Benfica did the impossible and won 2-1
PSG won against Maccabi Haifa 3-1
Man City won 2-1 against Dortmund with spectacular goals from Stones and Haaland.

Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Ajax, Barcelona, Sevilla are all eliminated of the CL.

So this years Europa League will have some good teams in the knock outs!

Or ask here what she's thinking of Paris on Valentines day, because PSG is playing Bayern Munich in Paris!

Did'nt expect this Chelsea win.

Benfica had an easy evening against Club Brugge, their coach is fired right after the match.
