Indeed, it is not possible to collect Boss Coins anymore this way at the moment
I'm facing the same issue. Hopefully they get it fixed soon!

@rado-kochas I'm not a developer of this game, so I can't do anything about it, sadly. But I do remember experiencing this kind of problem: it's a sort of bug during triple boss coins events; I would still get one boss coin instead of 3. Seems like the bonus doesn't work at all.

Regarding your case, I am puzzled, because usually double boss coin bonuses work perfectly fine for me. Except for this time though, because there's this bug in the game that prevents me from claiming a single coin.
