OSM on iPad: cannot access settings

on iPad I can't access the settings screen from the home menu. it will just show up the title bar and nothing is selectable. So I am not able to simply e.g. log off and log in with another user. Any idea?

I have realised that there is another thread in the German speaking forum with the same problem - you can see a screenshot there:

you only can tap into the non-shaded area and come back to the Home menuI have tried it on two iPads
one with current iPadOS 16.2
the other iPad Air with 12.5.6 -
