Any nostalgic managers still playing OFM?
-
we must have become really "old" only talking about the past and longing to the old crew life and days.
But you guys are right; those were the days!
Good to see I'm not the only one who has started to play again or is still playing.But I'm missing one name in the crews mentioned earlier and especially at the time Fearless Aces was active. Perhaps the best and certainly the most active crew at that time...

@dennis-s-bergkamp Oh yeah, I remember that "one" crew that was always in Aces shadow
Nice to see you still palying mate, loved the RVNS vs. Aces "rivalry" back in the days
-
I lived and loved too the nice rivalry between RVNS and Aces, i remember the mejority of you all some years ago playing OFM. Things are changed but i won't never forget those days and the nice people that i met
-
@Majstor-Matt
yeah, we played some epic battles and other master/Champions leagues
@Markez17 He Manuel, good to hear from you.
See you're worked on your OFM career in the past years and (still) trying to manage things on OFM.
Things certainly changed around here; some good and some bad.@Sir-Adam-C No, Aiden hasn't logged in for a year now. Same for Roger and Joe. Neil deleted his account.
-
@sir-adam-c Adam! Long time mate.
Still in contact with the OGs? Connor, Luke and the rest?

My account used to be pwhibs62. I do recall a Gary Gomes used to play the Prediction Leagues I used to do, and signed up in 2010. Not sure how memorable a member I was. I admit, I was an addict to this game - thought it was brilliant. However, nothing these days really tempts me to get back playing. I occasionally watch the forums. But there's never anything that makes me want to comment.
Certainly dont regret stopping playing. It was counter productive and monopolised more time than it probably should have. Thoroughly enjoyed OFM, but it's definitely run its course for me.
-
Shout out to Macca, Ken, Dom, Daniel Sanchez, Phil, Pete, etc.

nixieosm I remember you, fairly sure I banned you a few times
A few times... haha, yes, I believe I was smacked with thirteen by all mods in my time, culminating in a 30-day ban (I was such a naughty boy that I was given 14 days in August 2014!)
I'd also like to remember Narodaer's almighty sulk which got his account booted (still on what used to be called my Premium Profile), the final OSM April Fool's (Online Curling Manager), the final iteration of OFM FC (...we're in the People's Cup!), I suppose my best memories of WP are as SauzeeWasAHero...
-
SauzeeWasAHero was my old account. What do you mean by your best memories of WP are as SauzeeWasAHero?

@majstor-matt I do recall winning one season and coming second the next, to yourself Matt! Maybe clichΓ© but those were the days. The game has lost all identity now in my opinion. The layout, the name change, etc.
No Scotsman will ever defend the word Soccer.
-
@osmnufc Haha yep. Was pretty good with my predictions! Can't seem to win a bet though so it's all a bit frustrating!
So is this Peter Holmes?
-
Wouldnβt call myself one of the nostalgic ones but was there when forums were pretty good few years back
So what needs to change?
I think if there was more interaction between old and new managers and sharing tactics it might help. Likewise us newbies are behind the curve so kind of need to get to know you old heads better. FC of the Heart is a nice thread to start that off with. Maybe you old heads could get together and come up with some ideas of what worked in the past and become part of the solution.

@hans-orf Not much can change. Old days were epic forum wise. So much quality content, so much activity.. But game was different back in the days, nowadays its focusing more on android users and iOS users and thats why forums have no chance of being what they used to be. Also too many legends left the game as they felt that game does not respect their older customers so I really see no way of bringing old days back..

@d-chosen-1 Jengiz! One of my all-time favourites. Bring Pratik back!
