Despite locally following and supporting RB Leipzig, the team of my heart is Derby County (the Rams). And it needs to be of my heart. They have not won anything since the glory days of Cloughie around when I was born.
In fact, we have the worst premiership points record of any club and have missed out in the playoffs to get back up there 3 times in the last five years.

However, it is an amazing community and family focused club with loyal supporters and produces some great players like Will Hughes (now at Premiership side Watford) -
Once a Ram fan, always a Ram.

Yay!!!
I missed a few fun topics, like this one.

Despite my vocal support for my home team where I live right now, DC United. I'll always love the club where I was born and raised, Manchester United!

@manchester-munch Thank you for your post Manny.
I hope you don't mind me asking you a couple things, just out of curiosity .
By all means, answer back only if you want to.-
I thought you were an English guy but after reading on your forum profile :
" A yank that loves football " , I was surprised tbh. So are you English or American?
I understand that you were born in Manchester. So how come you moved to USA ? -
Is Manny a nick coming from your beloved Manchester or is it your real birth name ? ( No info on your game profile )
P.S. I had to google the word munch. Means : chew noisily or crunch etc.
Got my attention as well, Manchester Munch. -

@manchester-munch Wow, did not know about your DC United connection Manny, or I forgot boss.
What do you think to Rooney possibly moving there? You will be able to see an ex Man U player at the tail end of his career.

To respond to your questions- My dad was in the US army, I was born in Maryland and then went to the UK when I was 3 or 4. We (My dad and I) would go to every United game we could for the 6 years of his service in the UK. So I grew up in my younger years in Manchester. From then on, my family moved back to Maryland (the state right next to DC) and I've lived there ever since. Whenever I talk to my buddies in the UK, they always refer to me as a 'misplaced yank', so I've owned up to the name ever since.
- Manny is derived from Manchester.
I do sort of miss Manchester, but I love the states. There are so many adventures here, but there are so many adventures all around the world.
