How did i lose this championship?

I was playing a champioship with an arabian team. Even if I was tied at first place with another manager, the game considered me still first.
This was untill the last game of the championship: i won like the other manager, but for some strange reason he passed me in the standings, even tho i had more win than him. Please i would like to know in detail how standings works, because for me it was a bit strange what happened in the final game of the season -

- Most goals scored
- Most wins
- Alphabetical order of the teams involved (English Spelling of course)!
