Just an observation more than anything, i try picking different captains and as the game suggests i usually try one of my oldest more experienced players as the game does tell you these type of players are best suited for it, but i also sometimes try younger, but regardless who i pick, i'd say about 90% of the time when the game processes and then the commentators give their verdict they always seem to say that player was in way over his head, even though most of the time i may have won that game.

Might be a good idea id OSM changed this a bit as its a little boring to see that nearly every game.

@james_uk I have encountered this same issue and after lots of tinkering with different players, positions and ages I have found that your captain must be an outfield player (NO goalkeepers) and 29 years of age or older. Hope this helps πŸ‘

Also a sidnote, you will know when you have picked the right specialists for the jobs as the after match commentary will read something like:- Loving the tactics, loving the win. My work here is done. 😁

Hi guys and welcome to the World forum ! 😁
Of course all of us get to see this message among many others about "the Captain being over his head" πŸ˜… Or something like this ... πŸ˜‹

I have also tried , tested different types of players for a Captain.
I have even used a GK as a Captain , while playing a defensive style of game though, because he was the one with the highest power in my 11 line up. Personally I find it funny, cause I got this message in several won matches , while on the other hand ... I also got this from the Commentators after a match that ended up in a draw ! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ

Thing is that most of the times I don't have many old in age players. I prefer the young ones. But in the end , I suppose what makes a great Captain is a combination of : Skills/ Power - Age - Rating/Performance Grade . πŸ˜‰
