Regarding experienced and old players, how much do they help the team?
-
Well,I don't know how to put this... This is not a disease or a mental problem is anything, the term that i have coined for my problem is..."Training Bug". Yes you heard me!
I am very reluctant to buy experienced or old players(unless they were already in my team). I cannot convince myself tht experienced or old players bring something different to a team that would change anything in my favour. I always prefer a young player compared to another aged player. Example: comparing Bissaka and Kyle walker, bissaka is 80 defence and is 22 years old, whereas kyle is 30 and has 83 stats.
I would always buy bissaka becoz i always tell myself tht i can make wan bissaka 83 in minimum 2 days and i will save 2-3million as training costs only 50k(or something). After managing a lot of teams i have noticed tht ppl who buy Messi or Ronaldo no matter which postion they hold in the league,Messi and Ronaldo will always be in the top 3 goal scores. And even after tht i have never bought them even once ( yes i have never even tried to buy them). I just cant do it becoz i always tell myself tht they are old and tht the young will become better faster. Another was with kane and mbaape. I chose to buy 21mil (+15boss coins) rather than 18-19 mil harry kane who has 96 attack compared to 91 of mbaape. Even though i wanted kane i couldn't bring upon myself to buy him. So i would like to know what exactly is the advantage and wht change and development it brings to one's team. Becoz i am tired of having the same young players in my team. I need some experienced manager or moderator to explain how does the inclusion of older players help in the tactics etc of the team . Please do reply
. I need to get rid of the training bug

the difference is that older players have more experience and therefore will have higher leadership skills.plus, younger players will concede more due to the fact that they are new and unexperienced -
In real life football, experience obviously plays a part, it would be interesting to know what advantage experienced managers think that "experience" brings in this game.
For example, with two players of the same rating, one 30 year old, and one 19 year old.
Will the experience factor make the older player 5%, / 10% / 15 % ( or how much) better over a season.Does experience/age affect only the player's performance , or the overall team performance ?

Actually buying players like Mbappe is a good option but that spends lots of club funds. Do not buy experienced players from the transfer list because they are too much expensive. This a tip for every one. If you are managing a great team like Liverpool just by good prospects and players for the bench. If you are managing a team like West Ham then buy great young players from the scout ( don't train them though, just train them by playing friendlies) for eg: Jadon Sancho, Kylian Mbappe ect: . Buy young players from the transfer list ( quality: 69-82 age: 16-23 ) and train them lots of times. So actually in OSM experience does not really matter. Young players will help more. You will just have to see the other team's tactics and do your best if you are with a weak tam. But, in the last third of the season your team ( a team like West Ham ) will have young, amazing and talented players. Your team could then easily compete with any other team.

I was also thinking about this, because I took over a team where I just wanted to focus on getting young players full of potential.
Pretty much all of them are between 19-24 years old. During the match experience, I saw several times being mentioned that my team lacks some experience.
I also bought De Bruyne and Coutinho as some of my oldest players, just because of the age, but they're on the bench most of the time. -
@Mr-Haad-Adil-Khan
First of all kid, i got to say, you are way to smart and mature for ur age. Tbh ( to be honest), i know tht young players are the best for winning and improving, you are right about tht, there is no doubt about tht. I do use old players but only as reserve team be coz as u go further and further in match days you obviously neglect your reserves as you are always training your 1st team players, so eventually the old players tht come in the transfer list are better than ur reserves. Thts wht i do, whenever i have excess money and i see a good bargain i buy tht player for reserve no matter his age. But you have to say experience does count as @daniel-chase_1 said so. M experience: thrice it has happe happened tht the pundit has told me tht my forwards weren't good enough. My recent telling was yesterday. I am playing in the Egyptian league. I have 94 sterling,92 mbaape and 95 greenwood. My team consisted of 92 pogba,88 maddison, 90 rice and 90 mount. 100 virgil van dijk, 88 de ligt and 88 james recce (the Chelsea james). I was against a 60s stats team who played a offensive 433A with majority players in 60s. Goalkeeper was in early 60s while 1 or 2 players were 71 and few were 59. It is very hard to face the fact tht 343B is very good against 433A and i have always scored lots like tht but.... just this time even after having tremendous amount of shots on his goal we end up in a 0-0 draw. After tht incident which was happening a third time, which i obviously dont want a repeat of in a tournament or league cup game or any match which would cost me my position or trophy.
So this is the reason i started this topic. Also i am very much tired of seeing young players and playing with them but i have no choice as they make me strong and make me win in most situations. I would love to have to play at least once with some experienced players or old players like mertens or srinikar or de virj or messi or Ronaldo and have them in my team as first team players...why? Becoz they are there only for short time and some may soon retire. I know some one who reads this will say "Then why not buy then mate?". But like i said, i just cant becoz i want young talent and i just cant make myself to buy experienced players. This is gonna be possible only if some experienced manager of OSM can come with proof and say tht having experience in your team helps. Like i said i do not want a 4th time of tht draw or loss where my strong players couldn't make me win against weak team(s). Moderators please help in this matter. I remember some posts in this forum said tht you have to make a team with balance between young and old, but it is clear tht the balance doesn't matter in most cases (MOST CASES). Thts y we make young teams. I want someone to prove tht we are wrong and tht experience does matter. So if anyone or moderator can prove tht experience does matter then i will not hesitate to buy experienced players. The funny thing is tht i am reluctant to buy players whose age is 26and above tht u can forget. So please prove tht experience matters so tht we can use all types of players in our teams. Also no offence to you @Mr-Haad-Adil-Khan you are right, just like you i figured it out in my first managerial team tht young are the best. But tell me bro...., how long will we always keep buying young players? What bout players who play great football in reality like zlatan and messi and others like lewandoski and muller? The reason we don't buy them is becoz they have very less progression but in real life they do wonders.
So if someone can proudly say and prove tht experience matters in OSM too. I will hesitate no more. And im sure more such managers who may have always bought young players may start to buy all players as it really is bad and sad tht we admire them in reality but are reluctant to have them in our own team just becoz they are old and have less progression.
