Hi everyone, I'm Lucy and I've just stumbled across these forums, I used to play this game a long long time, like 7 or 8 years ago and just started playing again for whatever reason I don't particularly support any team but I have a soft spot for Totti
-
@Aphrodite-xo Hi there Lucy and welcome back to the OSM ! Hope you will enjoy your gaming time and the new forum from now on. Thank you a lot for introducing yourself to our community. Best of luck with your new leagues ! :thumbsup_tone2:

I know right, they must of sold out to American's. I still call it OFM to my mates
-
@Julz420 Haha The game was a bit of a craze at my primary school, half the class were playing it! That was 8 years ago
-
Very funny Juls. For your information then mate : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2657548/A-game-two-names-Historians-reveal-America-calls-football-soccer-British-blame.html , and no this gamesite was and still is a Dutch one. But since it is played worldwide I suppose the devvers thought of changing it from OFM to OSM . This way no ( Brit or ) American can get the false idea of what this game is all about .

Football is not just a sport, it is an Organization;, that Organization is run and governed by FIFA. Not FISA.

Hello @Furkanpoldi55 !
If you would like to introduce yourself here is the right place for you mate. -
Do we have any new managers that would like to introduce themselves to our community ?
-
Goodmorning all! I saw this topic and I thought this is the moment to introduce myself a little bit to the community. :thumbsup_tone2:
I'm Jip Huijs, 22 years old and living in the Netherlands. Since some time I'm the new Support Manager on OSM. Before I had several functions on OSM NL and I'm glad to be part of the worldwide team now!
In daily life I'm working (volunteer) on a website for young people in our district. Also I'm working at a local radio station (also as volunteer, sadly ). I've studied history at Radboud University and I'm just waiting to be finished, need to get a final result and I'm done with that. Now I'm searching for a job, so if someone has ideas, let me know!
I've played football for ten years, but quit a few years ago, now I'm doing some fitness.
If somebody has more questions, ask me! -
@Jip-Huijs Haha. Awesome post! Hello Jip and welcome to our forum company. :handshake_tone2:
I have a few questions for you mate. So Jip...
How long have you been playing this game and what is it that you enjoy the most?
About your volunteering jobs ( congrats for that btw ) ... What is the subject of this website made for young people , I'm curious to learn now haha.
What's your fave music ? Since you work at a radio station ..
What was your position buddy while you were playing real football?
And finally ... Since you have studied history... What kind of job do you wish to find or apply for ?
Thank you so much for your post and we'll be waiting for your new visit and answers here.P.S. Where's my manners ? :face_palm_tone1: Forgot to congrat you for your OSM career and wish you best of luck with your new task as a Support Manager ! :clap_tone2:
I'm sure you'll do a great job Jip. :v_tone2: -
@SUPERNOVA-8 Thank you Sofie!
Start with first question hehe. I've been playing OSM since 2005, in may this year for 12 years then. But had some periods with less activity, was more active on dutch version of National Team Manager, called BCS. But at the end of that game, I almost directly started as suggestions moderator on OSM and that was a great move because otherwise I wasn't here I think. I enjoy the most our community, still needs some growth on forum, but I like the people. But also winning matches on the game part of OSM is great of course, but mostly I'm enjoying with my crew mates and others on forum.
The website is www.pemmers.nl; it's a kind of platform where we try to inform young people about our district. Not only on news part, but also on events. We try to keep in touch with them in a way they keep interested.
My favorite music is just straight pop, but I like the guitar play most. My father really likes Jimi Hendrix, not because of his singing talent (I think he better didn't take that step) but because of his guitar play, he's a maestro for sure. Besides that I love some music from our country, especially from the province I live in. Favorite part of my year is carnival; a big fest at my place with some nice music (not everyone likes it, but it's nice to party on that music).
My position on the field was everywhere. I started as central defender, but played also on midfield and attack, especially left of the field. You can compare me with Dirk Kuyt (and then on a much lower level). Always playing on the field where the coach needs you most, but I think my best years where in the attack. Sadly I broke my clavicle when I was 14 and that was a little bit the end of the good years. After that I was much more aware of the 'dangers' of football that I never felt totally comfortable anymore. Little bit silly maybe, but it's something unconscious.
I'm applying for a lot of 'civil servant' jobs. But I think i'm going to do a traineeship first and look if there is something more to learn so I can start working on some more places and also have some experience.
-
@Jip-Huijs Jip I want to thank you once again for introducing yourself to the World community and for sharing with us all parts of your life. :handshake_tone2:
I was really sorry Jip to read about your unfortunate football accident that you suffered at such a young age. I hope your clavicle has healed good and is sound after that day. I also wish and hope that you will post some of your fave music and songs whenever you'll find the chance .
Best of luck with your job applications my friend. It's obvious to me that it's in your nature to help people around you and I wish that you'll find the right working place to keep you satisfied and happy. :fingers_crossed_tone2:P.S. We're very fortunate to have managers of your character on OSM and I wish to have you around us for the next 12 years as well.

Hello to all the happy people playing OSM! I am Oguzhan. I come from :flag_tr: My is on April 16nd, that makes me a coach. I am 20 years old, I joined this game in november 2012, more than 5 years ago. My hobbies are and I support Fenerbahçe team in Turkey.
Nice to meet you! -
@Sosyokrat Well hello Oguzhan of Turkey ! Your birthday is coming really soon , that's great news buddy . :clap_tone2:
But what did you mean to say about the "that makes me a coach " ?
And your hobbies are great too. Camping and being close to nature and away from the city`s noise is always a good thing. I just hope you didn't mean to say that you like to camp other OSM managers too much. Just kidding Oguz. Thank you very much for your post and best of luck as a Football manager and Forum Moderator ! -
@SUPERNOVA-8 Yes, exactly 11 days left
-
@Sosyokrat Haha. Brilliant stuff Oguz. I hope it's gonna be a big chocolate cake for your birthday and would be nice if you kept a piece for me too.
