Starting a next season - Moderator tool

Hi, I recently started a new competition, but didn't put it privately by accident. Therefore, 2 of my friends couldn't get the clubs they wanted to have, because random persons took'm. Now, I saw that the moderator-tool offers the possibility to start a next season. My question is, when I do this, will all managers from the current competition be "transferred" automatically to this new competition, or will it start from scratch, allowing me to only invite my friends this time if I make it privately ?

you can create a new league with out using next season and make it private then that will be from scratch
