The former president and leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro died at the age of 90.
As in life, same in death, Fidel Castro has been divisive ... Immediately after the announcement of Raul Castro, the internet and the international press caught fire. Some celebrated the death of a "hard dictatorship", the "architect" of a repressive regime.
Others, mourning the loss of "fighter of American imperialism" and a "charismatic symbol."
In Miami, where live thousands of Cubans, the celebrations started early. Hundreds of people took to the streets to celebrate his death with songs and dances.
The picture is quite different in Cuba, which has been plunged into mourning. The government declared nine days mourning, so as citizens express their farewell, to Fidel Castro. The funeral, as announced, will be held on December 4.
Both sides, however, seem to agree on one point: Fidel Castro is an emblematic figure who will be remembered.
