I scouted 3 different times for a midfielder 80-89 rated age under 25 and kept getting 29 year olds. I used at least around 50 boss coins for no reason

If you scouted for players age below 25 with 80-89 rating and your scouted didn't find any player matching your criteria, it may be because there are no more players available with such criteria. And since the scout is designed to always bring players he therefore brings the next best thing closer to your criteria.
Adjusting these criteria could help.Sending your scout to look for players is free while buying players off the scout cost 15 coins per player. If you decide to speed up the scouting time or buy whatever your scout brings it's your decision.
