If you create your own league for 500 coins is it just for one season

I was wondering, because a while ago if you played in a league you could choose to carry on with that league when it ended.
Is that still the case, especially for leagues you buy.
I am considering buying a league for my friends but will it only last for one season or will it serve as a private season continously.

that League will be reset at the end, but you can set it up to play on another country (or even same if you wish to) and that league will cost way less than if he requests one
