Email for verification connected to old deleted account.

Hello, I used to be an avid user on this site in the early 2010s, and I recently got back into it. This account is a new account, and I have tried to attach my email for verification. The problem is, the email I use is attached to my previous account which I deleted years ago. I only use one email and would like to know if it would be possible to have my email unattached to that old account so I can use it here.
