Whenever I downvote a post, I lose a reputation (upvote) in return. For example, I have 83 reputation but when I downvote someone else's post, my reputation goes down to 82. Is this something commonly known in the forum that happens when you downvote? Or is it a bug, does anyone know why this happens to me when I downvote?

Hi,
This is by design. When a user downvotes other users post they lose one reputation for that.
So 1 downvote = -1 reputation for the downvoter!
