Email confirmation sync

Hello everybody.

I have a local account with quite progress on my iPad. I wanted to confirm my email so I could play on other devices but when i click the link, it only gives me the option to create a new account or sign in with facebook, neither options sync my progress on my iPad.

Is there anyway to do this? Am I missing something?
