@manyac-xx I get that. But still, why was so hard to keep the MP system alongside this P2W system? Something for everyone.
Because new users are investing more money to get to the top. To reach the top through manager points you have to play for a longer period of time and many do not have the patience to play for a year or more to get there. They want to be in top as soon as possible. So GB has created a system where new managers can reach the top very easily and quickly and so it makes them invest more and more money to stay there.
-
you think that staff will even reply or care? All about the money. Very bad customer service. I agree with Nenad and Matt. This new ranking is shocking, people that play 4 easy leagues are better ranked than people that play against good managers in competitions and very strong leagues
-
I'm seriously starting thinking that old customers are not liked very much from GB owners and from the ones who rules this game today.
Every single decision is taken against competitive game and against the people who plays since many years ago.
First has been canceling classic battles, for the "fair play" they said and isn't important if they've introduced the App battles where is not necessary that you know how to play...only important thing is to know the pin of the credit card. Then this system of divisions medals and other things where a kid can start today and next week he's better ranked than someone who's playing since 2010.
Win a game +400, lose a game -1400...playing competitive leagues is impossible to have a good Ranking...why? because kids must be ranked better than the old players otherwise they will get bored and will not ask for their father's credit card anymore.
Not a single decision taken in last 3 years was done for old customers...everything against competitive gaming and everything against us and this is very sad. -
The worst part is that all the well-ranked players spend next to nothing:
4 closed accounts, alone, against the computer so no recruiting, no friends, no training course no time accelerator ..... No logic ... Only dummies who will be the image of the game ... Ridiculous .. Why not take into account for medals only and only open championships !!!!! And on one account .. !!!!!!! At least we can play good championships against good managers on other ...
And the count taken into account represents the value of the player ... Shameful, ridiculous -
@manyac-xx
I get all that, and it is shocking that they are not doing anything to at least keep a little bit of respect to older customers.. I mean even UEFA has a financial fair play.. lolAnyway, decision is made and we can wrkte whatever we want. It will never be the same anymore. They simply dont care about out feedback and opinion. Only cash talks.
But hey, lets not forget, classic battles are the main problem! But when noob buys mass of BCs in a single league and is still using bot accounts to boost his precious Medals, then its okay

@alyssagb Hello!
Call it a success it's not a responsible sentence, in my humble opinion.
I'm a really active player. I study a lot in order to improve my game and I have played the majority of the competitions. I've won 3 winners cup, for example, so I know deeply the app leagues. And I've also played forum individual and crew competitions, which are the best.
And my conclusion is that the best OSM players in the world are the ones who play really competitive leagues in the forum competitions. But if you play those type of competitions you will lose 5 to 10 games and you will always have a lower ranking.
Look at my specific case: I'm a 9 Division Player with 420k medals. When I play Historic Club Leagues, for example, where there are 22 rounds and all the players are good, even if I finish top 3 I will lose 5 games, minimum. That means I will lose 7.000 medals. If I win 11 games I will win 4.400 medals. If I drew 5 games I will win 200 medals. This means that my balance will be -2.400 medals. And I finished top 3 in the league. Do you call that a success?
OSM is choosing the profit path! What do you want is that players buy even more and more BCs. If you want a strong community you should rethink your decisions and evaluate it in a more responsible way. You are killing the OSM spirit and that doesn't connect me more to the game. Think wiser!
Best regards,
Rui -
@jfpd-ubi
I always wonder where are those people from surveys that they make?
They are always incapable of showing their support for these changes...I would like to see just once that they say fair and square to us: sorry guys but in order ro acumulate profit and money we nees to do this and that. Tell us to our faces, dont rub our noses with imaginary surveys... -
i´ve got one word to describe this, WOW! knowing that all my effort done climbing the rank, reaching top 100, will go through rubbish is very, very sad... knowing that most of the coaches who will be at the top of the rankings will be inexperienced coaches, who play leagues ALONE, or with MULTI-ACCOUNTs and coaches who after a few weeks uninstall the game... sad. i have a league with 16 very good players, and i don´t care if i lose medals, i must care about trying new tactics, and doing a hard league to play. i only started in the end of 2016, but since then, osm doesn´t care about the old players... only about money, and knowing that i´ve never spent a coin to buy boss coins is the best feeling right now. This update is going to be the worst in osm... My regards, and please osm, do smth, or you will lose great players in the game.

@alyssagb If this were to be done, there would be great injustice
-
To everyone who plays OSM competitively:
- They took away the classic battles
- They put us App battles and they don't even let us select rivals to play tournaments
- They gave us a ranking that only rewards those who play 4 bad public leagues simultaneously
- Now those of us who have spent years are taken away from the ranking in which it has cost us so much to climb based on constancy.
The question is: what harm does it do to leave that ranking on par with the other?
It is incomprehensible how every decision made from above always seems designed to annoy its most loyal consumers.
Their opinion is never heard.
We all know that these surveys are not reality, by chance no one on this forum gets them, but it is good to say it, of course.I think that not everything is worth for money, you are destroying the game.
-
Ridiculous
Osm is heading for ruin ... the fact that it doesn't want to hear the many opinions of its consumers leads a project to go downhill sooner or later ... something that will happen to osm when taking the good stuff that the game has ...
This new system is ridiculous ...
-> a person who is fighting for the ranking will stop playing competitions in order to minimize losses´
-> a person who can only be active in a slot will not have a chance
-> a person who does not enter the 4 leagues in ultimate goals and invest countless coins will not have a chance to fight for the ranking.Osm is declining and does not see that consumers are not happy
So far nobody liked this ... read the comments -.- "
-
@alyssagb Well, a positive I can say to this is that it gives new managers an urge to want to play in order to move up the rankings and compete for the title of the best.
Change is inevitable. Algorithms change from time to time. I support this new system.
I sympathize with my fellow long-time playing managers but OSM mostly caters to the sophomores now. Most old players have retired.
-
This in my view has a clear target almost 1 year ago that eliminated the forum battles ready until we can understand that yes the concessions were unfair.
Now removing a ranking that promotes greater justice among those who owe is the best or worst player for a very weak Ranking does not seem at all fair.
So the biggest proof I have is that in the last few months my group had recruiting leagues and by chance some asked and the others went to get the new Ranking initially, the result that happened was surprising because those in the new Ranking did not know how to play their interest in it is zero, that is, the medal ranking who are at the top are like 95% of the players are amateurs who have no real interest in the game and of course have accounts with less than 1 year.
In conclusion this has a clear target, which are the OSM crews, as, as some mentioned, there must be 4 slots to start some investing, which will lead to many not joining the groups because they participate in competitions, APP battles and for making group leagues to evolve tactically. -
The game is becoming less and less interesting for us "old-school managers". In future we will probably have to pay for the app? It's free for you. I don't want a commission for the tip either!
Tip to Miniclip: You can then earn even more money with it. That should only be in your interest! -
Like I said in the Portuguese Forums, OSM is no longer a simple game. This Divisions and Medals system is almost the same as the Smartphone game Score Match!
This is zero creativity. GB just limits to copy other things from similar games

@alyssagb said in Game Updates:
Manager Points replaced by Manager Medals
A while ago we added Divisions to OSM. Data and various surveys that we have conducted in the past months show that Divisions is a success and is well used by our managers.
Divisions is a worthy replacement for the Manager Points system. Therefore, we're going to phasing out Manager Points in the coming months. After that, Manager Points will no longer be visible in OSM.
Good luck playing and competing for the highest Division!
Real success. Only Success is you made the forums active for all the wrong reasons once again, last time I seen them this active was when you started banning people for playing classic battlesany chance we can see the results of these “surveys and data” that makes medals a worthy replacement? I’d be very surprised if there is any!!
While we’re at it why don’t we talk about fair play in app battles with BC compensation turned on. I assume this is based on “Surveys and Data” too @SpecialOne you’re the games manager right? Care to talk and tell us why this is better for OSM? Medals, BC compensation and removal of classic/old battles? Please do because we clearly don’t think alike.
-
I just saw it that some dude who playing this game for just 14 months is 1st in world with this new "Medals"
I mean WTF, I'm new in this game, and I like better Manager Points, throw time I will get to the higher place, but this Medals are zero sense to meSo, I'm gonna play this game for a year or maybe less, much less and become 1st with Medals, and that's it. Well that's boring and meaningless to me
-
I think the badges will be bad, the game will become bad, the cheating will increase, the tournaments and battles will become irrelevant because of the badges, and the game will become boring.
-
Its not that I cared a lot about the old ranking system because most of managers from top100 were cheating for many years (some of them OSM staff and moderators). Ive checked their leagues time to time and you could see every league same managers who logged in only when they had a game against the 'head' manager because more manager points. The 'head' manager it was the only one who build his team example from 30m to 300m and other managers were in the same squad value they took the team. It was obviously cheat but GB staff never took actions against them because primary was to stop classic battles because rules were being broken.
About this new medal ranking system: First when it was Introduced I said 'One more useless update, won't care at all'. But when you see many noobs and new accounts are higher than you it pushes you to 'care'. In my previous crew we had academy crew, and we recruited some managers from this new ranking system. Most of them were level 9 but we had level 10s too. Guess how they did in competitive osm? They were crap as hell and left the crew after 2 battles because it was no fun for them losing more than wining.
So now with this new ranking system you will divide the community in two sides, managers who really don't care about this ranking system and will keep playing competitive osm (when I say competitive I don't mean only managers who are playing official battles but also leagues with full great managers) and the other ones who will stop playing competitive osm and focus in 4 slots creating 4 private leagues, playing alone against CPU and claiming easy medals. So you can't have both playing competitive osm and playing for medals ranking system in same time, you gotta chose one.
