@apocalipse4 said in Nations Cup - Explanation, FAQ, Rules and Discussion:
Hello friends,
First let me update the list of nations that have already confirmed their interest in participating in the Nations Cup :
Second, I want to apologize to @Panyath captain of India, and @Colocho034 national coach of Guatemala, because i forgot to mention their support, in the last list published.
@mcfc_uae169 about your doubt, with the rule : 2.1 - All coaches, in the different alignments of the tournament, must be of the nationality they represent, with a limit of 2 members of the same crew ; i can give you an example, that might clarify this issue. Imagine, the lineup of Portugal :
G1 - bababufias (Revenge)
G5 - FeelStrikeX (Champions OSM)
G9 - Moltenski (Pastel de Nata)
G13 - Apocalipse4 (Sintra Crew)Reserves :
Nelson6111 (BUS Manager)
SrMister (Champions OSM)As you can see, there´s 6 managers, from different crews, only 2 are from the same crew (Champions OSM), so answering to your question, there is no limit of coaches per national team, but there is a limit of 2 coaches per crew. I hope you understand, this is because, the idea of this competition, is to have the best managers possible, for each national team, this is not a normal crew competition.
Thank you, for the sugestion of a Ranking and points of the National Teams, and we will look into it, and that might be implemented, if not in this edition, maybe in the next.Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life

@dovco_handf łoooo, już zapomniałem, ze reprezentacja istnieje : )
-
@rusewicz
- 2021 - Selekconer:........., Asystent:................
Określimy wymagania oraz zadania, jakie będzie miał selekcjoner reprezentacji Polski.
Wybory będą dwuetapowe: każdy etap, tydzień na głosowanie jawne na forum. W I etapie - wszyscy chętni spełniający kryteria.
@apocalipse4 said in Nations Cup - Explanation, FAQ, Rules and Discussion:
Hello friends,
As promised yesterday, here is a walkthrough, to help you fill the Google Forms for the National team registration.
Nations Cup 2021 Registration Walkthrough
In this picture above, you identify your country, in english please, its step 1
Step 2 - Please insert the National Team Couch OSM nickname
Step 3 - Please insert your name ( in real life )
Step 4 - Please insert a valid email adress, for further contact
Step 5 ( final ) - Please upload the logo of your National Team
And that´s it friends, real simple and efective, so far we got 14 National Teams registered, as you can see, in next picture :
Another question that we have been asked is related to rule 2.1, which I already had the opportunity to explain, but which still causes some doubt.
"2 - Nationality
2.1 - All coaches, in the different alignments of the tournament, must be of the nationality they represent, with a limit of 2 members of the same crew."
The purpose of creating this rule was to have a real National teams competition, based on a culture of diversity, in the coaches called to represent their countries, which results from a healthy rivalry and competitiveness between several crews from the same nation. The fact that certain countries have a culture of supercrews is counterproductive to their own evolution. Another of the ideas, which guided us, was also the possibility of bringing in the new "talents" that emerge within the crews and their academies, and that thus have an opportunity to prove their value, and also gain experience in playing at international level, playing against some of the best National teams. In addition to these arguments, this project has always had as a goal the return of National team competitions, and that in order to achieve this, we would have to have a rule that would define in its terms, the difference between international crew competitions, such as the CCW , of the Nations Cup which is destined for National teams, as in the past there were others like the WNT or AWC. As we say in Portugal: "we cannot please Greeks and Trojans", but we have a commitment to the community to restore this culture of National teams, progressive and with diversity, as a way to contribute, to raise the quality of each nation in the OSM panorama.
We want to thank @Dovco_HandF for the suggestion, to draw up a list, legitimizing National coaches and captains. We, as independent organizers of this competition, have no intervention in the decisions of different countries, or of their communities, regarding the legality or legitimacy of their National commissions and of their coaches chosen to represent their countries, including the appointment of the captain. We accept in good faith that the people we contacted, and who contacted us, in order to participate in the Nations Cup, have the legitimacy to represent their countries and make a commitment to respect all participants and the competition rules.
And now, i bring to you, the first day of the "Nations Diary", with a smal interview, with Azerbaijan National coach : @Sabit-Mamedov
Q : What do you think, about the format, of this competition?
A : I think it´s the best choice we can have right now. For me it´s interesting. But maybe in the future, organizers will have to change it as more nations, will be participating in Nations Cup
Q : Do you have any suggestion to improve the competition?
A : Honestly, right now, no suggestion from me. As organizers, think about everything, that´s my suggestion.
Q : What can you tell, about Azerbaijan team?
A : The OSM Azerbaijan National team, was created about 3 years ago. At our debut tournament, EURO 2018 we gained bronze medals. Also at WNT 2019/2020 we reached the final. But due to some reasons, the final battle was closed. I think we have enough competitive team to compete with the best National teams of the world.
Q : What are your goals for the competition?
A : In the first season, we do not set for ourselves very high goals. We have to adapt to the tournament, to the new opponents firstly. Because this is absolutely a new competition for us. Our goal is to play as better as we can.
Q : When you select the coaches to represent the National team, what is most important?
A : For me the most important quality in a manager is his/her ability to play in the team and to be part of it. Also i value stability in the managers.
Q : In Nations Cup we´ll have the : "Nations Diary" a casual news thread inside the competition, what do you suggest to be published?
A : In "Nations Diary" there can be published the MVP´s of the round, the best team, the best squad, the most surprising team, etc.
And that´s it guys, it was the interview with Azerbaijan National team : @Sabit-Mamedov whom we thank for this pleasant and interesting moment!! Good Luck Azerbaijan
Tomorrow, will have more informations, and updates, beside a new chapter, in "Nations Diary"!!
Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life

@km1992_1992_1 Niezła propozycja, ale przy rejestracji ekip narodowych jest wymagane podanie selekcjonera/ów reprezentacji. To zresztą wzór powielany w każdej grze on line.

Hello friends,
First, let me welcome the new national teams that registered today, thank you for your participation in the competition and hope that you will have fun and evolve with the experience acquired in this tournament. This global family continues to grow and nothing would make us more satisfied than to bring the entire OSM community together in this competition, in healthy coexistence, and in sharing the best principles that lead humanity, to overcome all barriers, as one. So far we have 26 National teams registered :
We remind you that registration will only end on 31/01 at 23:59 CET, What are you waiting for to register your national team!!
" The important thing is not to win, but to compete and with dignity. What matters in life is not so much triumph as combat; the essential thing is not to have won, but to have fought well. Sport must be the inheritance of all men and all social classes."
These emblematic phrases of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, "father" of the Olympic Games, are the spirit that we want to spread in the Nations Cup and that is shared by all who participate in it. Of course there will be a winner of the Nations Cup and a loser, but what we want for this competition, is that in addition to everyone having the opportunity to participate, it is that they do it under equal circumstances, that they respect their opponent, and share the true spirit of fair play, but above all that they have fun in healthy rivalry, and that in the end everyone is the winner of the truth.Today on "Nations Diary", we have the captain of the National team of India : @Panyath
Q : What do you think, about the format, of this competition?
A : It will be a strong format and since playing the Community league in CCW recently, it will be a long and enjoyable league. It will be interesting to see how much each nation does in this particular format which is different from a classic battle. Looking forward to the idea of competing with many nations at once in a league.
Q : Do you have, any suggestion to improve the competition?
A : Probably make the tournament a bit longer than 2 rounds but looking at the number of teams and format i can understand. Besides that, everything sounds good.
Q : What can you tell, about India team?
A : We formed our team in 2018 and have featured in WNT twice. We have won our regional Asian tournament in a classic battle format and last year the Amateurs World Cup in a new format similar to this competition. We are a team who are committed to the flag and sacrifice our time to put in effort for these competitions.
Q : What are your goals for the competition?
A : To be competitive and reach the final phase of the tournament, try to compete with the strongest nations. We want to see progress every year.
Q : When you select the coaches to represent the National team, what is most important?
A : What i look for the most is a right attitude and commitement rather than just the quality of the manager. Availability is key and being communicative with the rest of the team is important to maintain a good atmosphere and make the experience enjoyable.
Q : In Nations Cup we´ll have : "The Nations Diary" a casual news thread inside the competition, what do you suggest to be published?
A : I love this idea because i´m very enthusiastic about different cultures and communities. I really like the idea of national team coaches being interviewed and sharing their thoughts and along with that it would be great to know the story and challenges behind every national team in their OSM journey. It would help everyone to get to know each nation better. I thank the organization for bringing something different and interesting for a change.
Wow!! What a interview guys, i´m shaking, he his really intense, thank you so much : @Panyath for this great and inspiring moment!! Good Luck India
Tomorrow, will have more informations, and updates, and don´t miss the "Nations Diary"!!

Hello,
The registration process is still going, and we're pleased to announce that already 30 National Teams are onboard! Today, Belgium, The Netherlands, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Russia step forward, bringing with them even more quality to the excellent list this tournament already has. Thank you all! We expect more National Teams to register in the next days. Hurry up! History is being made!
We remind you that registration will only ends on 31/01 at 23:59 CET. What are you waiting for to register your national team?! Also, for heads up, the tournament starts 08/02! The line ups can be made starting 01/02 until 07/02. But in due time a post will be made with that information.
Some words have been written in this topic regarding the potential issues about the provenience of the players that will play this competition - will they really be from the nation they'll be signed up? Well, friends, as Winston Churchill said, "With great power comes great responsibility". All Nation Team Coaches, which represent their local communities, have the responsibility to select wisely the OSM players that they'll sign up for this competition: not only having in mind their quality, but also validating their backgrounds, so that their nationality can't be questioned. It's every National Team Staff responsibility to "read" their players, and assure that no issues regarding legitimacy can be placed. Its their reputation that is at stake, and we strongly believe that every single National Team Coach of every Country participating in this Nations Cup edition will have that in mind every step of the way.
Today on "Nations Diary", we have the National Team Coach of Spain : @Jojiste-2a
Q: What do you think of the format of this competition?
A: It is an interesting and new format to be able to take the selections forward after the classic ones no longer exist.Q: Do you have any suggestions to improve the competition?
A: I think that +2 is given for meeting the objective and another +2 for being above the objective, but it will not be the same to be one or two positions above.Q: What can you tell about the Spanish team?
A: That we will go with everything for victory since Spain will fight until the end.Q: What are your objectives for the competition?
A: Be champion.Q: When you select the coaches to represent the National Team, what is the most important thing?
A: The state of form of each one.Q: At Nations Cup we will have: "The Diary of the Nations", a casual informative thread within the competition, what do you suggest it be published?
A: That it be published daily how the teams are doing each day. Or fun facts about the tournament. That you Javier, for the words, and mostly, for the ambition! Good luck to Spain!
Tomorrow, will have more informations, and updates! Don´t miss the "Nations Diary"!
Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life!

@moltensky said in Nations Cup - Explanation, FAQ, Rules and Discussion:
Hello friends!
Today, we'll get back to the Tournament format. As you all may recall, this Nations Cup 2021 will be played in Community League:
https://en.onlinesoccermanager.com/LeagueTypes/League/5524 players per National Team will be placed, according to their defined goal in the registration, in 4 different leagues, as can be seen in this table:
The position of the National Teams in the table will be defined by draw. 16 National Teams in each pool. The competition will have, at least, 2 phases, but only by the end of the registration process we'll be able to determine exactly the amount of leagues in phase 1. The final stage will be played by 16 National Teams.
Registration will only end on 31/01 at 23:59 CET. What are you waiting for to register your National Team?! Also, for heads up, the tournament starts 08/02! The line ups can be made starting 01/02 until 07/02.
Every National Team will have to appoint at least 6 players: 4 for the phase 1 lineup (G1, G5, G9 and G13), and at least 2 substitutes.
If a National Team qualifies for the next stage, 2 players from the phase 1 lineup must be changed for 2 previously designed substitutes, as can be seen in rule 1.1: "Between rounds there must be at least 2 coaches being replaced by others". Also, we remind the 2.1 rule: "All coaches, in the different alignments of the tournament, must be of the nationality they represent, with a limit of 2 members of the same crew". Example:
Country A Phase 1 lineup:
G1 - Player A (Crew A)
G5 - Player B (Crew A)
G9 - Player C (Crew B)
G13 - Player D (Crew C)Substitutes:
Player E (Crew D)
Player F (Crew E)As you can see in this example, only two players represent Crew A.
We hope that this explanation will help all National Team Coaches with the hard task of choosing the best players for this Tournament! What a challenge it will be to choose wisely!
Today on "Nations Diary", we have the National Team Coach of Libya: @hashim-mohamed-club
Q: What do you think, about the format, of this competition?
A: The tournament at first sight seems to be very special, A neat and wonderful organization. I hope it goes on to the end...Q: Do you have, any suggestion to improve the competition?

A: Our goal is to provide an honourable performance befitting the name of the tournament and to provide the utmost effort, and we want to honor the name of the Arabs we and the rest of the Arab nations.Q: When you select the coaches to represent the National team, what is most important?

Hello my friends,
"Success doesn't just happen. It is the result of hard work, perseverance, learning, sacrifice and, most of all, love for what you are doing or intend to do". Pelé's phrase is the purest and most genuine way of explaining that in sport and in life, everything happens because man seeks to overcome the challenges that are posed to him, challenging the limits created by nature. In creating the Nations Cup, we also seek to break a limit, the limit of mistrust, and increase the capacity of Nations, to be integral and dignified, and those who represent them in this competition, have an opportunity to show the world that they can overcome this limit, and raise the level of quality.
National teams registration will be open until 31/01 at 23:59, the lineup registration phase will follow, from 01/02 at 00:00 until 02/07 at 23:59, next weekend, we will publish the new form, again in Google Forms format, which you must complete and send in the same way, which you have already done for the registration of National teams. We inform that in this form, a clause of honor will be included, which must be assumed by the National coaches, guaranteeing the veracity of the nationality of the lineup coaches, submitting to prove it, within 2 days, under penalty of disqualification of the National team, at the time of registration, if the organization requests confirmation or at the end of the first phase in the case of sustained denunciation, we remind you that any denunciation of breach of the rules, must be made by email of the competition ( staffn145@gmail.com) and not in the topic of the competition. Any questions on this issue, please send a PM to one of the members of the organization :

@Apocalipse4And today in "Nations Diary" we have the interview, with @nacho00772 the Venezuelan National Coach :
A : I think I speak for all or most of the coaches, when I say that we all expected the return of an international national team competition.
I think the format is new, and I hope the managers take it seriously and follow the rules to continue enjoying this tournament.
It would be nice to know what requirements the managers chosen in the line-up have to meet, (if they have to have previous experience in tournaments or x years of seniority in the game ...)
I think it can be a very close tournament, where any team can surprise, there is no great favorite.Q : Do you have any suggestions to improve the competition?
A : Well, it would be good if the general classification of the tournament was updated every day or every two days at most. Thus, each coach can see the evolution of their country and be able to look for solutions in case they are badly positioned.
Q: What can you tell about the Venezuelan team?
A : We are a team that historically international competitions have been bad for us, but in the Copa America we perform at a very high level, we have a new generation of managers that I hope that together with the most veteran players can play a great role in the tournament.
Q: What are your objectives for the competition?
A : Our objective in this edition is to improve our image worldwide, since outside the Hispanic community we have always done quite badly, so we want to take a leap in quality and the objective is to go to the next round.
Q : When you select the coaches to represent the National Team, what is the most important thing?
A : For me the most important thing is not the name of the coach, but his current form, it is useless to bring old glories that are close to retirement. The important thing is to achieve a balance between experienced managers and promising young people so that they are formed.
Q : At Nations Cup we will have: "The Diary of the Nations", a casual informative thread within the competition, what do you suggest it be published?
A : It would be interesting that before each day, the newspaper would write which are the star matches of each day and make a small follow-up in the following publication of how the matches were, even a statement from the coaches involved in those matches.
Thank you @nacho00772 for this interesting and refreshing interview!! Good Luck to Venezuela
Tomorrow we will have more informations, and updates! Don´t miss the "Nations Diary"!!

Hello my friends,
Unbelievable!! Our big family now has 41 nations registered !! Today we welcome : El Salvador, Montenegro, Oman, Yemen, Bangladesh, Nicaragua and Argentina!! I would like to remind you that registration is open until 31/01 at 23:59 CET. What are you waiting for to register?! Come and join, History is being made!!
"If you don’t trust yourself, you’ll always have an excuse not to win" - Carl Lewis
Today I bring you a brief explanation of how the national teams will be drawn, as well as the distribution of coaches by the different leagues, associated with the objectives defined in the lineups. Later, close to the draw phase, we will provide a more detailed explanation of this process.
First, let's start with the base table, which will add the national teams, on the left side of the image, distributed between positions 1 to 16, to the clubs that make up the Community League, distributed in the second column of the table, according to the different goals (G1, G5, G9 and G13) for which there are 4 teams, numbered 1 to 16. In columns 3, 4, 5 and 6, we will have the distribution of the 4 leagues, each with 16 teams, which will be drawn according to the key that represents each national team and the goals distributed so as not to coexist coaches from the same national team in the same league, for example the designation S1 defines the position of a national, team and their coaches in the 4 leagues, so we can see that G1 will be in league 1, G5 will be in league 2, G9 will be in league 3 and lastly the G13 will be in league 4.In the next image, we can see how the 16 teams that make up the Community League were divided into 4 groups, so that the combined budgets are equal between the 4 groups so that there is a balance between all.
From this distribution, we will place the teams in their respective positions, according to the goals, in positions 1 to 16
distributed by leagues 1 to 4, from the table that will be used as the base for the Nations Cup, with the national teams remaining to be drawn in the left column in positions 1 to 16.The draw will define which national teams will be in group A, which will be distributed in positions 1 to 16, and which national teams will be in group B, distributed in positions 17 to 32. This demonstration applies to the Nations Cup with 32 national teams. With this draw done, the teams that each national team (coach) will guide will be automatically assigned, according to the formula shown in the first image. For example, if Portugal is drawn in position 3, it will control the teams: Lazio in league 1, Espanyol in league 2, Vitoria Guimarães in league 3 and Luton Town in league 4, representing G1, G5, G9 and G13 respectively. Another draw will be made, to define who will create (PM) the 4 leagues in both group A and group B, and it is already defined, that the PM will be the G1 of each national team.
And today, in "Nations Diary" we have the captain of Belgium : @Restimat

Szykuje się turniej na 48 reprezentacje narodowe. Poniżej trochę o punktacji:
@feelstrikex said in Nations Cup - Explanation, FAQ, Rules and Discussion:
Hello Community.
We are almost reaching, one of the goals that we had initially, to get 48 National teams registered.
Today, he have 43 teams, and if every thing goes well we will reach the 48 National teams.
Registration is almost done, don't miss out!!!Let's talk a little about the scoring system adopted for the tournament.
The scores that have been established for this tournament bear a certain resemblance to the scores used in other old tournaments.
The points obtained in the league will be multiplied by 3;
The goal difference will be multiplied by 2;
There will be a penalty for falling below the goal of -2 points;
There will be a bonus for being above the goal of 2 points;
For fulfilling the objective receives a bonus of 2 points;
I'll give you an example:
Goal 5
(30 league points)
(5th place)
(Goal balance +10)Total score => 2 (Position) + 30 (League points) * 3 + 10 (Goals) * 2 = 112 Points
Goal 9
(10 league points)
(11th place)
(Goal balance -5)Score => -4 (Position) + 10 (League points) * 3 + (-5) (Goals) * 2 = 16 Points
Today the interview is the national coach of Brazil.
1-> What do you think about the format of this competition?
Since there are no more 5x5 battles, this format is the most suitable and standard today!
2 -> Do you have any suggestions to improve the competition?
There could be a way that at least in the spreadsheet we are playing against such a selection. But I don't know how to make kkk.
3 -> What can you tell us about the Brazil team?
Brazil is a traditional team, which has undergone some reformulations, and now I am the coach! But we continue with great title goals!
4 -> What are yours
goals for the competition?Obviously, be CHAMPION.
5 -> When selecting coaches to represent the national team, what is most important?
We have analyzed the main current competitions, which have a good level, so that we can find adequate to have weight for selection.
6 -> In the Nations Cup we will have: "Nations Diary" a casual news topic within the competition, what do you suggest to publish?
Keep the topic active, and show mainly what is going on within the competition!
Thanks Flanatico NE, for the time available and
good luck for the tournament.Tomorrow there will be another interview with another coach.

Już 44 narodowe nacje zapisane! Dziś o specjalnej 16-zespołowej lidze:
@moltensky said in Nations Cup - Explanation, FAQ, Rules and Discussion:
Hello friends!
We're pleased to inform that we've already 44 National Teams registered! Mexico, Kosovo and Turkey are the Countries that joined recently this competition! Welcome! We would like to remind you that registration is open until 31/01 at 23:59 CET .
“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much”. A saying by Helen Keller, that illustrates perfectly what we've accomplished so far: a new, vibrant, and promising Tournament, that brings new life to the OSM National Teams worldwide. Thank you all for the continuous support. Without it, nothing could be done. What a thrill to see history being made!
Today we'll talk about the League we'll be using for this Competition. Community League was designed by Gamebasics and became available in 16/04/2020. Its a league of 16 teams, idealized for crew competitions:
https://en.onlinesoccermanager.com/LeagueTypes/League/552
In this League 4 groups of teams are available, all evenly balanced in starting squad value:
Goal 1 (121 M average value)
Benfica, Lazio, Real Betis and WatfordGoal 5 (101 M average value)
CF Monterrey, Club Brugge, Espanyol and Zenit St. PetersburgGoal 9 (64 M average value)
Basel, Rangers, Vitória de Guimarães and Vélez SársfieldGoal 13 (44 M average value)
Excel Moeskroen, Heracles Almelo, Luton Town and Troyes. All the teams have a fair amount of players in every position, so the transfer market will have a lot of activity from day 1 of the Leagues. The scouts won't have time to rest!
As you all may recall, we've sorted this teams in 4 evenly balanced G1/G5/G9/G13 groups:
This groups will be distributed by draw to the National Teams in competition. We'll explain the Draw process in the next days.
Today, we've have an interview with the recently elected Portuguese National Team Coach, @bababufias :
1 -> What do you think about the format of this competition?
This format is possible, since it is not possible to make a format as in the past 5 vs 5, due to the transfer of games between elements of the same group, as it goes against the rules of the game, which I do not agree with, and creates specific leagues for this type of competition 5 vs 5.
This format is good, and it is a good way to overcome the absences of the old battles that are very good and that gave a special enjoyment to the game itself.2 -> Do you have any suggestions to improve the competition?
Suggestion for now, let's see how it goes this way, and then make an assessment of the good and bad points, to make a final assessment.3 -> What can you tell us about the Azerbaijan team?
I have played a few times against the Azerbaijan national team, some have won and some have lost, in recent years the Azerbaijan national team has evolved a lot, and they are very strong, difficult to win with very competitive and capable elements4 -> What are your goals for the competition?
My goal is to get as far as possible, and if I can win the competition, we have great players in Portugal capable of doing very good things, and I think we will do everything to honor Portugal, giving our best, so that in the end to see that our duty has been fulfilled and to raise Portugal to the highest level.5 -> When selecting coaches to represent the national team, what is most important?
The way of selecting the players, has important aspects for me as the experience and the characteristics of the player itself, being that I will promote first-time players in the selection and make a rotation system in the selection of players due to the existence of many players of quality in Portugal.6 -> In the Nations Cup we will have: "Nations Diary" a casual news topic within the competition, what do you suggest to publish?
I suggest that news of internal competitions of countries be published, and information about the selections and selectors for example.Thank you Rui for the interview! Good luck and a lot of success in this new challenge you've embraced, as Portuguese National Team Coach! Best of luck to Portugal !
And thats all for today! Tomorrow, we will have more information and updates! And don´t miss the "Nations Diary"!!
Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life!

Hello Community.
Today we will explain the context of the penalties better.
Point 1.2 The violation of this point leads to disqualification of the selection that did not meet the deadline for delivery of the alignment.
Points 4.1 4.2 4.3 4.4 I will give an example
Point 4.1- CPU offers cannot be accepted. (-10 points if accepted)
Point 4.2 - Instant sales are prohibited. (-10 points if it occurs)
Point 4.3 - Selling at the player's exact market value results into the same penalty as an instant sale.
Point 4.4 - The sale and purchase between human coaches is prohibited. (-10 points if there is a sale between human coaches.
Point 5.1 - In this edition, friendly matches are forbidden, resulting in a penalty of -15 points.
Of course, be careful when choosing the team, because it can happen if you make a mistake and that mistake translates into a penalty
Point 7.1 - The choice of the wrong team in case of the same objective results in a penalty of -20 points
Point 7.2 - The choice of the wrong team and different objective translates into the penalty (7.1).

W tym poście są omawiane zasady losowania w turnieju:
@moltensky said in Nations Cup - Explanation, FAQ, Rules and Discussion:
Hello Friends!
Today we'll explain the mechanics of the Draw for the First Round of the Nations Cup 2021 Tournament.
"Chance can allow you to accomplish a goal every once in a while, but consistent achievement happens only if you love what you are doing."
Bart Conner, a former US gymnast that won 2 gold medals in the 1984 Olympics, is the author of these wise words. The fate of the National Teams may be determined in part by the draw, but mostly by their players' dedication to the game. We're sure we'll have the privilege to see in action the best players of each participating Country, and the quality of their performance will most certainly rise this Tournament to the highest level!
Until now, we have 44 National Teams registered (we would like to remind you that registration is open until 31/01 at 23:59 CET) :
If you are a National Team Coach, still considering the hypothesis of participating, what are you waiting for?! We'll close the Registrations if we reach 48 National Teams.
Now. About the Draw.
We'll use a well known website for this process - ChooseRandom (https://chooserandom.com/).
We have defined a table that will be used to sort all the National Teams in 3 Groups of 16:
NT stands for National Team, and the 3 Groups are arranged in numeric order: Group A (NT1 to NT16), Group B (NT17 to NT32) and Group C (NT33 to NT48).
Also, we have already defined the order of each Group Leagues: 4 leagues in each group, in a total of 12 leagues. We remind you that we'll use Community Leagues in this tournament.
Considering the fact that we have currently 44 National Teams registered, the NC Staff as already defined that CPU's may be used to complete the leagues, and their positions in the table: to even their presence, we'll place one CPU in each Group, positions NT16, NT32 and NT48. These positions won't be used in the draw.
Below you can see how the the leagues will be (already considering the presence of CPUs):
Using the League 2C as an example of CPU placement, Watford will not be used by any human player.
The Draw will be made associating elements of 2 Lists:
In one list the Table Positions
In the other list the National Teams:
The National Teams will be inserted in this list by Registration Order, as can be seen in the table below. We've already made a TEST DRAW with the elements above, that we'll use to give some examples for better understanding.
The TEST DRAW can be seen in this link - https://echaloasuerte.com/sets/80688f25-c1a8-485a-86df-7f637d6b7ee9
Considering that we'll have 4 CPU Crews (there will be 48 positions, and we have 44 National Teams registered so far), and after placing 3 of these CPU's in each group, as told before, we will use one CPU in the draw, to define its position in one of the 3 groups (one of the groups may have 2 CPUS if we don't have at least one more National Team registration until the given deadline).
In this example the 4th CPU was drawn in the position NT9:
Given that draw result, CPU4 position in the Groups table would be in Group A:
And the Group A Leagues would have CPU teams as shown below:
Rangers in League 1A, Excel Moeskroen in League 2A, would not be used by any human player, for instance, in this example.
Now, in another example, let's say Venezuela would be paired in the Position NT33 in the Draw. It would be placed in Group C:
And the teams for Venezuela in this first round would be:
Venezuela G1 - Real Betis (League 1C)
Venezuela G5 - Club Brugge (League 2C)
Venezuela G9 - Rangers (League 3C)
Venezuela G13 - Excel Moeskroen (League 4C)Finally, the DRAW will be public, and NC Staff will post it's link for everyone to see the results (it will have a timer).
After this Groups Draw, another Draw will be made, to determine who will be PM in each league. We remind you that only G1's will be considered.

@MoltenskyAnd today in "Nations Diary" we have the interview, with @IvanAndal , Croatian National Team Coach:
Q : What do you think of the format of this competition?
A: I believe this format is the future of battles since old style battles are prohibited. That being said I think, with time, the community will develop this format further and bring new innovations to it. This is just the beginning.Q : Do you have any suggestions to improve the competition?
A: It might be interesting to try this format of competition in a fantasy league without transfers. That would be a new approach to international competitions. I'm not sure whether it would be better than the current, but it would definitely be interesting.Q: What can you tell, about Croatian team?
A: Croatian team is very young (not by age, but by international experience). We have assembled a year ago and have been learning a lot since then. After competing in the WNT and EURO we saw that we can play competitively and we are very happy to be a part of all international competitions and play against the best teams in the world.Q: What are your objectives for the competition?
A: Our goals for this competition are to give a chance to few new managers with potential to become the future of our national team and while doing that see how high we can place ourselves on the international stage with this new format of competition (for which i think suits us a bit better than the old battles).Q: When you select the coaches to represent the National Team, what is the most important thing?
A: There are several criteria for being selected to our national team. First and most important one is extreme activity both in the game and communication channels. Second is the ability to learn and accept new ideas and strategies.
Third criterium is, sadly, the amount of, and the ability to accumulate BC. In these competitions people spend a lot of coins and our managers have to be able to keep up with this tempo. (Although I would be much happier if this aspect of the game could be excluded completely from competitions as this.)
That being said, Croatian community is rather small and our resources can't really be compared to bigger nations, thats what makes us even more proud to be able to compete on high levels.Q: At Nations Cup we will have: "The Diary of the Nations", a casual informative thread within the competition, what do you suggest it be published?
A: In my opinion it would be good to keep up with whatever is trending in the game community at the given time.
Sometimes it might be preparation for the competition, prediction of the outcomes, or the results of the competition when it is over. Sometimes comments on the game updates affecting the game on this level. Maybe commenting on some positive rivalries. Anything that could spark up the OSM community.Thank you, Ivan, for the interview! Best of luck to Croatia !
Well, thats all for today! See you tomorrow, in a new edition of "Nations Diary"!
Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life!

@MoltenskyToday, we have an interview with the Cameroon National Team Captain, @otman347891 !
Q : What do you think of the format of this competition?
According to me, the format is very good because we don't have a lot of possible formats since the old battles are prohibited, we have to offer formats without strategies unfortunately but we prefer formats like that rather than having no competition.Q : Do you have any suggestions to improve the competition?
I think that if this competition is organized every year, so as not to have the format repetitive, it would perhaps be necessary to change the format at each edition to vary the pleasures.Q: What can you tell, about Cameroon team?
Our selection is one of the youngest in the game at the moment, but we know that we have a solid group and that we have our chances of going far like all the other nations, we just have to play without complex.Q: What are your objectives for the competition?
Our objective will be to go as far as possible, to give a good first impression of the nation. The best way to predict the future is to create it on our own.Q: When you select the coaches to represent the National Team, what is the most important thing?
The level of the player in the game is very important but the level is not everything. There is also the one who listens to what is said to him, the one who learns through defeat while wanting to improve and the one who is motivated.Q: At Nations Cup we will have: "The Diary of the Nations", a casual informative thread within the competition, what do you suggest it be published?
I propose to publish articles on the nations which make a good start to the competition otherwise I don't really have any other ideas.Thank you Otman, for the interview! Good luck Cameroon!
