Some National coaches, asked about the lineup registration, because they had problems with managers, that could´t play, and were registered in R1 phase, as reserves. Bosnia and Herzgovina, Hungary and Turkey, asked to replace some of these managers. We decided, to allow those changes, but the Nations Cup regulation, as to be applied. And all National teams, will have to register 2 reserve managers, at least, to prevent any unexpected situation that may occur, during the competition. In case, of a manager that abandon his league, the National team will be penalized with -20 points.

Predictions
1st -
2nd -
3rd -Filling in the blanks with the National teams of your choice, after the lineup registration phase is over, we will publish here the results of the survey, and the National teams chosen by you!! Who will be the winner, of the Nations Cup first edition? What are you waiting for?! Start the polls!!
Hi guys! Yes it´s me, Sir Hunchy! You thought, that i would be away, for some time, now that we finished, the first phase of the competition! But i´m back, to talk about, 2 of the finalists that i didn´t analysed yet : France and Morocco
Let´s start by France. They finished in 5th place in Group A, with 617 points, and they performed regurlarly allover this first phase. For me, like i said, in the general analysis of Group A, they are still one of the candidates, to win the Nations Cup 2021. With 245 points, konini, is the MVP of this National team, he won league 2A, with 18 wins, 5 draws and 7 defeats, representing 40% of the total points France achieved. His "right arm", foulardinho, conquered 183 points, distributed by 11 wins, 13 draws and 6 defeats, representing 30% of the total points, his National team earned. FCGG76, was a little bit more discrete, with 126 points in 10 wins, 10 draws and 10 defeats, representing 20% of the points France granted, for the qualification to the Final. See you in the Final, "mes amis"!!
Then, in Group B, Morocco fought hard to get their golden ticket to the final, and they finished in 5th place, with 923 points. The MVP of this team, is Mess s, he conquered League 2B, he is one of the candidates in the Goal Frenzy award, with 19 wins, 7 draws and 4 defeats, resulting in 326 points achieved for Morocco, representing 35% of the total points. His sidekick, is mod kaka that manage to win 14 times, draw in 10, and lost in 6 games, conquered 218 points, which represents 24% of the total points his National team obtained. In general, they are a balanced team, and if they find a way to bring the winning rate, of this group up, they will be very difficult to beat. Maybe they´ll make a surprise in the Final, everything is possible! May the Force be with you!
And now, that i analysed all the 16 finalists, i´ll take my postponed holydays!! Nothing much, just 7 seven days, in the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea!!
Don´t worry, i´ll be back, and then the pressure will rise, and i think that we will watch a Grand Finale!!
Until then, keep playing the beautiful game!Chill out with the Nations Cup 2021 hymn :
Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life!

3rd -Tonight in Nations Diary, we receive the captain, of India @Paniyath , they stayed in 6th place in Group A with 565 points, and they had a very strong performance until the 20th round, then they had a break, and managed to qualify in the last rounds. Please, let´s give a big cheers, to our guest!
Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
A : Thank you! We just about made it through the last qualifying spot from a really tough and interesting group. After observing all the teams from our group and the other groups there are some really serious talent out there. I expect the final will be a difficult one but I have faith in my team to give their best as they always do and we will see where it will take us.
Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
A : You guys are doing well in bringing together all the communities through this competition. As Ivan suggested in his interview, the idea of a facebook group for communities or other social platform would be a good way for every community in OSM to be aware.
About our national team, despite being a big country we are quite a small community in the game, we don’t have our own forum and there is only one active Indian crew in the game whereas many other national teams have lot of crews to choose from in their community. But the team we have works hard every time they get the chance to play for us and sacrifice their time to do well. I can never doubt their commitment for sure.Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
A : Back in the day I always followed WCC and WNT two of the best old battle competitions but unfortunately everything changed for the wrong reasons but I enjoy playing in CCW and now NC, two well organized competitions in the crew forums. And also FMS is well organized and has some serious competition. And credit goes to many managers like yourself and others who keep organizing several competitions in the forums keeping the competitive spirit alive during these times when we see a lot of uninspiring updates implemented in the game.
As for if I was to choose between squad building or tactical ability, I would say a mix of both is needed to be a really good manager to adapt in any league. I would look at the nature of the competition we are playing in and decide which is more important, in my opinion I think squad building is more important in a tournament like this.Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
A : Being part of a crew helps the selector better because you will know the manager will be really experienced and they continue to grow under a good crew but to me it is not always necessary. We have few managers who have played for us over the years who have not been part of any crew but invests a lot of time for the national team, the experience is gradually gained when we play in more competitions but for continuous growth and better understanding of the game it is important to be in a good active crew but for me I cannot ignore hidden gems out there even if they don’t play for a crew.
Q : For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
A : First of all when it comes to the organization of this tournament I cannot say anything more to improve it. The energy you guys put in every day to keep us entertained and informed is just amazing. That is some talent. The addition of Nations Diary is brilliant, that’s the first thing I read when I check the forum every morning .
For future editions I would suggest some changes in the scoring system. For example I believe the GD(Goal Difference) is given a lot of importance and weightage compared to achieving objective and above objective bonuses. I probably understand it encourages attacking play from managers to get a good GD and I am a fan of attacking football but I look at this as a neutral and this would seem bit unfair to managers who like to deploy defensive tactics every game and have a low goal team to manage with and compete against stronger squads. And also consider an early red card could simply give you a 5-0 defeat and this would give away too many points so the GD should not be given much weightage in the scoring system compared to league points and achieving objective bonuses. Another suggestion is for next edition I would like to see national teams who get drawn as PM from Asian/Middle-Eastern regions given an option to create the league early because the usual time to create it would be very late for us and it would be a risk if it does not get created( I somehow managed to stay awake last time I had to create it haha). And last but not least for the sake of this great competition it would be nice not to see teams forfeit the tournament before it starts. It destroys the competition seeing teams which don’t take this event seriously and seeing a group eventually filled with lot of CPUs. Hopefully we don’t get to see that again.Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
A : Definitely. We are planning to form a U21 team and compete in competitions. I think it is important for new managers to get some experience first in these types of competitions before they can be tested out for the main team in major competitions. Well about criteria for participation I’m not an expert on this because we never had a U21 team and participated in any U21 tournaments but years ago there used to be World Subs Cup organized in the forums for U21 teams and there was a criteria that those who participated for their national teams in major tournaments like WNT cannot be eligible for it. I agree with it because it is a tournament for new managers to break into the scene and develop in a good competition.
Wow! i´m amazed with this fantastic manager! It´s because of guys like him, and many other great managers and persons, we dedicate every effort to make this competition the best experience in OSM universe. Thank you so much @Paniyath and good luck India!!
Celebrate life with the Nation Cup 2021 hymn :
Closing for today, we say goodbye with a heart overflowing with thanks, for the support expressed, for the community, and we promise to continue to work hard. Nations Diary, will return tomorrow, with news and updates, stay tuned!

@moltensky said in Nations Cup - Explanation, FAQ, Rules and Discussion:
Hello Friends!
Welcome to todays's edition of Nations DIary!
Today we'll talk about the scoring system, again, to freshen up everybody's memory. As we're counting the days for the Grand Final kick-off, we'll keep covering all details until then. Also, we'll present Predictions standings so far, and post another interview with a Finalist National Team Couch.
“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” — Abraham Lincoln
Let's review the Scoring System adopted for the tournament.
The scores that have been established for this tournament bear a certain resemblance to the scoring system used in old battles:
-
The first 4 classified (1st to 4th place) will have the following bonuses:
1st -> + 20 Points
2nd -> + 15 Points
3rd -> + 10 Points
4th -> + 5 Points -
The last 4 classified (13th to 16th place) will receive a penalty of:
13th -> -5 Points
14th -> -10 Points
15th -> -15 Points
16th -> -20 Points -
The points obtained in the league will be multiplied by 3;
-
The goal difference will be multiplied by 2;
-
There will be a penalty for falling below the goal of -2 points (multiplied by each position below goal);
-
There will be a bonus for being above the goal of 2 points (multiplied by each position above goal);
-
For fulfilling the objective receives a bonus of 2 points;
Examples:
Goal 5
30 league points
5th place
Goal balance: +10Score Calculation => 2 pts (in Position) + [30 League Points * 3] (90 pts) + [10 Goal Balance) * 2 ] (20 pts)
Total Score => 2+90+20= 112 PointsGoal 9
10 league points
11th place
Goal balance: -5Score Calculation => -4 (2 places below Position) + [10 League points * 3] (30 pts)+ [-5 Goal Balance * 2] (-10 pts)
Total Score => -4 + 30 -10 = 16 PointsTo help all National Teams keep their Scores on track, we've prepared an universal table (in Excel format) that can be edited. Here's the link for the file:

The Final Lineups Registration is still going (it ends 19/03 at 23:59 CET). But the Final Leagues PM's are already defined by draw:
League 1F - mounirhomaroc - G1 Morocco
League 2F - BoudouAA - G1 Belgium
League 3F - G1 France
League 4F - Jhonger PG - G1 PeruThe Nations Cup Predictions for the Final is open until 21/03, and on 22/03 we will publish the results.
In the last days we've received a lot of feedback from the Community, and, so far, the Favourites are:
1st place - Brazil
2nd place - Serbia
3rd place - TurkeyTo spice a bit more these Predictions, we've implemented a scoring system: 10 points for each reference in 1st place; 5 points for each reference in 2nd place; 3 points for each reference in 3rd place. The standings above already take in consideration this system, and were updated today, at 19h00 CET.

3rd -Today's interviewed National Team Couch in Nations Diary is @Flanatico-NE from Brazil .
Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
Well, I hope it is well disputed, and that Brazil maintains its good performance, and we can end with the title, ahah! We are working hard for this!Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
Maintaining this interaction, keep doing Competitions like this, very well organized, this will make it a lot easier.
My history in the selection, until now we managed to pass to the Nations Cup final, we are leading the World Cup, and in the Championship we are in 3rd.Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
I observe all of more relevance, such as Senior, Masters, etc. In my view, you have to be balanced, you have to know how to evolve a squad, and have knowledge of tactics, this is fundamental, and you can decide a title.Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
Well, it is very important. Because within a group, a manager will already know what it's like to work as a team. Yes, you need to, I cannot invite someone to a national team, where the responsibility is huge, if a manager has never had the experience of working in a team.Q : For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
I don't see anything that can improve it more, more. Maybe you can evaluate this score point again, doing something simpler, it would even make it easier for us to set up the spreadsheets, like giving a score to the first ones, negating the last ones, adding along with the team's score in the standings, so the goal would not make a difference, if it is above or below! More is just a suggestion, I think it would be easier.Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
We are certainly available, yes, and help with whatever is needed. The criteria would be the performance in competitions for younger players, such as Youth Cup promises, and sub-700. Having a good performance in them, they will probably have a chance in the under-21 team.Thank you Nadson Eduardo, and good luck to Brazil!
Nations Cup Final calendar :
The lineup registration phase, will start on 15/03 at 00:00 CET and will finish on 19/03 at 23:59 CET;
The draw of the pool, where the National teams and their managers, will be distributed by the different leagues, will be held on 15/03 ;

Hello Friends!
Welcome to Saturday edition of Nations Diary! We are only 2 days away from the beginning of the Final! All National Teams have already sent the Lineups, and everything is almost done! Tomorrow we'll share the 4 Leagues composition.
Today we'll talk about the Penalties, to review this very important part of the Tournament. Even if most of the managers already know it by heart, other's may not be yet so inside these aspects, and NC Staff wants to assure that everybody will do their best to avoid the Penalties! Every point will make a difference in this Final, and it would be a shame if a less informed manager would do anything that could compromise it's National Team Score!
"The greatest of faults, I should say, is to be conscious of none." —Thomas Carlyle
As can be seen in the Nations Cup Regulation the Penalties can take place in Transfers, Friendly Matches* and in the Leagues Creation/Entering:
Point 4.1.
CPU offers cannot be accepted (-10 points)Point 4.2.
Instant sales are prohibited (-10 points)Example:
Point 4.3.
Selling at the player's exact market value results into the same penalty as an instant sale. (-10 points)Point 4.4.
The sale and purchase between human coaches is prohibited. (-10 points for each transfer between human coaches).Example:
Point 5.1.
In this edition, friendly matches are forbidden (-15 points for each).Example:
When Creating a League, or when one enters a League by invitation, be careful when choosing the team - if you make a mistake that translates into a penalty:
Point 7.1.
The choice of the wrong team in the same objective results in a penalty of -20 points.Point 7.2.
The choice of the wrong team in different objective translates into the same penalty in 7.1. (-20 points).Managers Replacement
If a mangers quits a League, even though a replacement is allowed (one of the Final Lineup substitutes may enter in it's place), a penalty of -20 points will be applied to the National Team.Remember: any complaint, should be forwarded to the Nations Cup email: staffn145@gmail.com
All Penalties will only be considered if reported with evidence (print screens, League and Managers names) to the NC Staff email.

3rd -@H-Mainguy , France National Team Coach, as the word today in Nations Diary!
Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
Thank you! It was not easy to qualify but we trusted the team even after a difficult beginning. Congratulations to all of them for qualifying! Now we hope to do our best, we finished 5th in the Amateur World Cup so it would be great to do even better.Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
I think that there should be forums for national teams on the correct language forums, and also for teams that speak English or another language than the currently supported ones (GB if you see this ). The topic for the French national team is one of the most viewed one on OSM French forums even if it is not the most active, so it shows that a lot of players want to be part of it! Giving better visibility to those selections and competitions would be a great way to make them even better.
Our national team is old and goes back to sometime around 2014 I think, and it's always managed to be one of the best. But I have never been around to celebrate a title with them, so I hope to be able to do that soon!Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
I observe all the competitions within the French community, national selection competitions, and many of the other popular ones (such as the Crew Cup obviously). As a side comment, I like that there are a lot of good competitions now, but I would love to see one or two major international competitions with all the best crews, like the WCC before. Even if it can't be in exactly the same format, it would be great to have an equivalent to a Crews Champions League!
When I build the shortlist, I want managers who are good for both squad building and tactical knowledge, and complement each other well. Another important factor is motivation: sometimes, slightly inferior players feel very motivated when representing the national team and perform even better!Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
If players are not part of a crew, I probably do not know them, so while it is not required, it is certainly better. It was important when battles were the main form of international competition, a little less so now. But if a player has done well in crew competitions, it is always a bonus!Q : For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
First of all, congratulations for running such a great tournament with a wonderful organization, I don't think I've ever seen one as good on OSM! If possible, I would love the tournament to last a little longer, I am happy we made it to the finals but 27 teams out of 43 were eliminated after one round. But other than that, nothing to add!Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
Right now, we do not have a U21 team, but if the idea becomes popular in France, we can maybe have one! If that happens, we will let you know.Thank you Hugo! Best of luck to France in the Final!

http://bit.ly/NC2021_TeamScoreToday we have @Alexandar-Blumenshtil, Serbia National Team Coach, in the spotlight:
Q: Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
Thank you very much, if we didn't believe we had the quality for the finals, we wouldn't have played a tournament. I have to be immodest and say that I expect a place in the top 3 at the end of the tournament, while our ultimate goal is to be champions, I think we have the quality for that with due respect to all other national teams.Q: By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
I think that each national team could organize its own national tournament, and that even anonymous players would get a chance to be noticed by one of the national team leaders, and thus give them a chance at the national level.
Serbia was among only a few countries who invented the story of National Team competitions within OSM about 10 years ago. We played in first tournaments ever, 'Nations Mini Cup', '6 Nations League' etc. After that for some reason competitons involving National teams stoped for 3-4 years. Then around 2015-2016 first versions of WNT arrived. We played 2 editions but didn't achieved much. Our biggest success is winnig the WorldNationsTournament 2017/18 under command of MenagerBL whick was a big suprise for everyone. After that, some 'old school' menagers slowed down, left the game, MenagerBL step down from National Team of Serbia one year later.. The next step that happened was that I took care of the national team, with a totally new and inexperienced team of managers, I got call for our first competition and our first competition we won, that was Euro 2020 and it was a phenomenal thing for this young team. Today, Serbia is a mix of some of the 'old school' players and these 'new' managers and we hope again for the great success of our national team.Q: From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
Basically, I look to register my players for every slightly more serious tournament I like, CCW is extremely interesting to me, our BWC tournament organized by my good friend Ivan Andjal is extremely strong, great for trying out tactics against proven managers, then Romanian RR ...
Honestly, in my opinion both things are important, it doesn't mean anything to you if you make a strong team, and you don't have good tactics to use the strength of the team in the best possible way, Winners cups prove it.Q: How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
I think that it is extremely important for every player and that it is a good thing to be in a strong, and above all well organized clan, where attention is paid to teamwork, where attention is paid to work on tactics, communication. I will be brutally honest, but all those who have been with me in the clan could have learned a lot from me, and I guarantee that they have become much better players than they were before. So being in a clan can have its advantages, where teamwork should be learned first and foremost.
It is not crucial that a player does not have a clan, or that he does not play battles, in the final I will have just such a player who does not play battles.Q: For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
Honestly, I would change a little bit the scoring system. Gave a little more importance to the points on the table..a little more points to achieve the goal, it should not be the same as the goal difference... and one more thing, that some of the penalties are more severely sanctioned, such as penalties for changing players in the middle of the league, in my opinion personal opinion, 20 points is a pretty small penalty for that.Q: Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
I believe that they could also participate in that tournament.
Criteria? Perhaps players who have up to 500 matches in the main slot in the game, therefore, could push them into the fire to represent their country in this way, and to gain experience that will mean something to them later.Thank you Alexander, and good luck to Serbia! One of the Forum Users' favourites to win this final!

Hello my friends,
"Correct help; encourage, help even more." - Johann Goethe
Today, in the time frame established, all PM, created the leagues and sended invitations. We know that some issues happen, during this event, we are still analysing, the screenshots that were sended. All proven penalties will be duly recorded in the penalty table. A final note, about the decision of establishing the schedule of 11:30/12:00, for creating the leagues. It was already explained, but we want everyone to understand that in a worldwide competition, like the Nations Cup, in which more than 10 time zones are covered, it is practically impossible to please everyone. This decision reflects our idea of balance for all, and it is also a principle of the National teams competition culture, which we want to continue to cultivate. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and hope you understand our decision.
This is the composition, of all the leagues, and their PM´s :
League 1F
Everything is ok in League 1F.
League 2F
Everything is ok in League 2F.
League 3F
In League 3F the naming of the league is wrong, now it´s : "NATION CUP LEAGUE 3F", we kindly ask @TheSpecialOz to change it to : "**NC2021-FINAL-**LEAGUE3F".
League 4F
In League 4F, there´s one manager, that didn´t enter the league so far, @otman347891 from Cameroon with the Excel Moeskroen team.

@Apocalipse4And now the moment, you were waiting! The final results of Predictions! The results shown bellow, are the total counted until yesterday at 23:59 CET.
1st place - Serbia with 103 points
(6 votes for 1st [6x10pts]; 8 votes for 2nd [8x5pts]; 1 vote for 3rd [3x1pt])
2nd place - Brazil with 98 points
(5 votes for 1st [5x10pts]; 6 votes for 2nd [6x5pts]; 6 votes for 3rd [6x3pts])
3rd place - Turkey with 83 points
(4 votes for 1st [4x10pts]; 5 votes for 2nd [5x5pts]; 6 votes for 3rd [6x3pts]Score System: 10 points for each reference in 1st place; 5 points for each reference in 2nd place; 3 points for each reference in 3rd place.
And we have a winner! Yes it´s Serbia! In a very balanced vote, they won by a very small margin. Thank you all, for participating in Nations Cup 2021 Predictions! Let´s see in the end, who is the real winner! Good luck to all teams!
Tonight, in Nations Diary, we receive the National coach of Hungary @TusA18, please welcome him with a big applause
Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
A : Thank you very much! Anyone who got in the final, wants to win the competition, and we don’t think otherwise!
Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
A : It was a great idea to organize the Nations Cup, which brought together many great managers to play against each other. In order to expand the OSM Community and keep it together internationally, I think a Facebook group is the best solution that has already been created, so it will be our job to maintain and operate it. Our nation boasts many strong and active crews, who are constantly dueling and participating in various international competitions, so it is always a difficult task to select the best managers.
Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
A : We focus exclusively on competitions where we can develop both as a team and individually. I think team building and tactical preparation are equally important. However, the most important for me is still activity and being a real team player.
Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
A : I think it's important for a national team to have managers as a member of a crew. It's difficult to learn to play in a team if you are an individual player, without crew. Managers who are successful at the crew level, are much more able to work together and adapt, even when they are from different crews. The essence is the teamwork.
Q : For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
A : Personally, I am completely satisfied with the current organization and would not change it in any way. Perhaps, I would break the rule, that allows just maximum two managers from the same crew.
Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
A : We are open for this new competition. And I would let the organizers to decide the participation criteria.
FUNtastic! Great interview! Once again, the experience and knowledge, of the elite managers, that compete in Nations Cup, that serves as a legacy for the community and especially for the young coaches, who are at the beginning of a career. Thank you @TusA18 for this interview and good luck to Hungary!
In a day filled with so many emotions, it´s hard to close Nations Diary, but he promise to return tomorrow, with news and updates, from your Nations Diary!
Before you go, enjoy the Nations Cup hymn!
Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life!

@Apocalipse4Tonight in Nations Diary, our guest is the National coach of Bosnia and Herzgovina , @AdiAgainCcC give him a warm welcome
Q : Congratulations once again for reaching the finals. What are your expectations from the last phase of the competition?
A : Thank you very much. We are very satisfied with the placement in the finals and thus we have fulfilled our goal. In the final, we play without pressure and every result will be good. As I have already said, by placing in the finals, we have already achieved our goal.
Q : By creating the Nations Cup, our main goal is to strengthen the culture of OSM national teams. What kind of action do you need to take in each national community to achieve this goal? What can you tell us about your national team history?
A : The Nations Cup is a very well-designed and organized competition and I, as the organizer, congratulate you on that. As for the BiH national team, we were founded almost and we are just at the beginning and we are very satisfied with what has been done so far. Of course, a lot still needs to be done, we have a lot of good players that we have to bring to play with us and defend the colors of their country ...
Q : From several competitions in OSM, which of them do you observe? When making your shortlist, which is more important in a manager: building or tactical knowledge?
A : As far as I am concerned, as a selector and captain of the national team, both are important, but one does not work without the other. However, I prefer building a team and then we agree on tactics for the game together ...
Q : How important is it for player development to be part of the crew? Does a player need to be part of the crew to be invited to draft your national team?
A : It is very important to be a part of Crew because there is a lot of experience for playing and communication. Of course, I follow the managers who do not have Crew, and for them and everyone else from our country I organized the BiH championship which is currently underway and we are looking for a national champion and of course, the best placed will have the opportunity to play for the national team.
Q : Can you tell us for future editions of the Nations Cup what improvements you want to implement to improve the overall quality of the tournament and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM Space of National Teams?
A : The organization and everything is great, maybe I would allow playing friendly matches and instant sales of players, but even without that, everything is great ...
Q : Would your nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
A : We are of course ready for all competitions, and as for the u21 competition, I don't know what conditions I would set, but I believe that you will do the right thing as before and of course, we trust you ...
In the end, I congratulate you once again on the excellent organization and effort you put in ... We wish everyone luck in the finals and let the best win ...Well this was a great moment, where the ideas and goals, of this excellent coach, show us where they want to be in the future of OSM National teams competitions, but also humbly recognizes the importance of being in this Final. Thank you @AdiAgainCcC and good luck to Bosnia and Herzgovina!

http://bit.ly/NC2021_TeamScoreAfter a well deserved short vacations period, in a remote paradise island in the middle of nowhere (at least, nowhere to be found), here he is! The tanned and refreshed Sir Hunchy!
Hello folks! I'm back! And super excited with this Nations Cup Final!
Today I'll make an analysis on the Finalists, pointing my favourites, and anticipating what this Final can bring!
Having finished in the 1st place in their Qualifying Groups, Indonesia, Turkey and Serbia are naturally favourites, due to their excellent performances so far! But Croatia, Hungary and Spain also have similar favourite status, as all of them also performed well above average in the previous round!
Never the less, National Teams with huge quality, like Brazil, Syria, Cameroon, France and Belgium also have a saying, and all may be defined by a good start!
Running in the outer lanes, but having already proven their worth, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Peru, India and Morocco can't be forgotten, and their task is easier than all of the others, as the pressure won't be certainly on their side!
Tonight me and my staff will take a look on the first round results, and tomorrow we'll be back with the first highlights on the Individual Awards!
God Damn! what a Final it will be! I'm looking forward to take a look on the first rounds! I'm sure there'll be a lot of surprises!
See ya tomorrow! Cheers!
Today, in Nations Diary, we have the presence of @Jhonger-PG , Peru National Team Coach! Welcome!
Q: Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
Thank you very much. It was very difficult to me to succeeded in this tournament. However, our goal was achieved and now that we are in the final we hope we could win. I am aware that the competition will be difficult, but I will do my best.Q: By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
First of all, let me congratulate you for creating this amazing tournament. This is almost my first competition as a coach, also this type of competitions greatly benefit a national team to strengthen communication and friendship between the members and get confidence and experience.Q: From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
We are informed about of all the competitions in the Hispanic community and we are also encouraging managers to play competitions constantly. According to the second question, we check them in an excel were we registered the squad building and tactical knowledge to make our shortlist because for us both are very important.Q: How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
Well, being in a group influences a lot because being in a good crew make sure us that the player know about the game and the tournaments in the forum. I think that it is very important that a player being part of a group to be called to a national team because in a group you can developer your skills and has more opportunities to play competitive tournaments.Q: For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
Well, how they are doing it is very good, At first I had problems with the scoring system but now it is clear to me. Something that I totally disagree was that some national teams signed up for the competition but they did not participate and it is a lack of respect for the work that one does and damage the perspective of the tournament.Q: Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
I think is a very good idea create U21 tournaments because they are not playing at the moment and it would be helpful for each member of our U21 and of course our Peruvian team U21 would participate. To conclude, I would like to the competition has the same rules and scoring system. Thank you very much for the interview.Your welcome! We also thank you for your kind words, and wish the best of luck to Peru !
And we're almost done for today! We would appreciate if the Managers in competition could share their insights and results with us, here in this topic! Instead of just posting a screenshot, it would be great if you could elaborate on how the rounds went for you, and what surprising results happened! Let's try to improve even more this Topic, with valuable and always respectful inputs! Come on!
See you tomorrow!
Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life!

Tonight, in Nations Diary, we receive another National coach, that lead his country, to the Final. Please welcome, @Restimat the National coach of Belgium
Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
A : Thank you. First of all, I'd like to mention that I'm not alone, we work together with @woopertje, reasons are explained below
As for the expectations, at least Top 6, but we aim for the podium of course.Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
A : Since most of the communication about big competitions happens on the forum through active/important members, I think there should be
a very strong link between organisers and headcoaches (this is already the case ) but also with Community Managers. A national team is something big and unique on osm, but some active countries are not even participating. CM's or voluntary responsibles could simply work as relay between the organisation and these nations.
Let's take Germany for instance, I understand that in the past it was more complicated to show up consistent line-ups since managers needed traditional battles experience, but now, there's no more teamwork needed, it's easier, and Germany has a massive amount of awesome managers. They just need like 4-8 to begin to rock the floor with us!
Same goes for other countries. Hope to see all of them soon!
Therefore, CM's could ensure that all active countries have the opportunity to have a selection and appoint responsibles.
Maybe negotiating an in-app announcement might be possible?
Or just create or maintain national topics active with news.
About the history of the Belgian national team, it goes back to 2014-2015. As a moderator of the French community, I raised a committee and helped them to begin a national team. But I felt like Belgian and Swiss people were forgotten so we also began these two national teams around the same time!
It was very difficult because we didn't have many experienced people at all (only 2: @Seb-the-Rouche and me) so we needed to train managers, run +20 people tests, etc. But now the team has evolved a lot.
Talking about results, we did many events and won against many top countries but still haven't earn any big title yet. Let's say that our best results are a 1/4 final in World Nations Tournament 2017 and a 5th place during the EURO 2018.
Lastly, I'm proud to say that this last year we've worked hand in hand with @woopertje and try to bring the best out of the Dutch and the French community. As a trilingual country, it's important for us to be able to give the chance to anyone who deserves it and proves itQ : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
A : We mainly get to know candidates after running some tests and then/or seeing them perform in leagues like CrewCup world, CrewCup NL, Dutch Divisions (KL), LFS-Cup, Dutch Championship, French Divisions, French Christmas Tournament, French Championship, or important crew leagues.
As for the criteria:- The most important is the Mindset. A manager with awesome skills but a poor mindset won't play. Never saw one with ua though, we're lucky they're all great & fun people
It's all about having fun outside the field and being professional on the field. - Second are Motivation & Availability.
That's all it takes to be good on osm, you can learn anything then. - Thirdly, of course, huge skills both Tactical and Teambuilding.
Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
A : There's no need of a crew at all, but the exigencies require high level competitions experience, so 95% of the time it's reachable only when you are/were in a good crew.
But we also train young talents and advise them good crews; since Belgium has very good managers but only a limited number. There's always this need of preparing the next generation.Q : For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
A : You're already doing a truly amazing job
Perhaps have a place with a clear explanation of everything on 1 page?
So we don't lose ourselves in the middle, because there's a lot of information coming (sometimes gradually).Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
A : It would be a great challenge for us in any case. I think so, yes!
Finding young talents and testing them in U21 before, that sounds fun
As criteria, well main ideas I guess are something like
real aged U21 but difficult to control
only +- U300 played matches seems interesting. (But not that realistic since experience only comes when you stop playing bots/inactive players, whether it's around 1000 matches or 10 matches)
For us maybe the best is: anyone who hasn't played in the official selection yet could be eligible for the U21. It sounds ok.Huge respect again for your work guys!
Those stats, interviews, video, rankings, clear and fast answers...that's lit!Amazing! This guy rocks! What an incredible interview! Thank you so much, for your kind words @Restimat and @woopertje and good luck to Belgium! 🤩🤩
Every day, it gets harder, say until tomorrow, but we have to finish now, and tomorrow we will bring more news and updates, on yours Nations Diary!
Thank you, stay safe and enjoy life!

And without further delay, this is the first enquiry, we hope you enjoy it, like we did preparing it :
1-The OSM forum is one of the communication tools in the game between its users. What do you think of its operation? What can be improved?
2-The Nations Cup topic is a key factor in the competition. In order to develop it even more, which sections do you think should be added? What additional info would you like to see?
3-Nations Cup is a National teams competition. What is the importance of this kind of competition for the OSM as a game?
Welcome managers! Please participate and help with your opinion!

Hello Friends!
In today's edition of Nations Diary, we'll take a look in the Final Scoreboard after Round 2, highlight the Managers performances in the Individual Awards and present one morw excellent interview with another Finalist National Team Coach.
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” — Rumi
After Round 2, played yesterday, this is the Scoreboard:
In this yet highly volatile beginning, in an early stage of the Final, India is now on the lead, with 174 points, followed in the second place by Spain, with 132 points. Serbia completes the podium, with 70 points. Morocco, Syria and Croatia are also having a good start, but in the next days this will most probably change upside down. Let's wait and see. Surprisingly, Brazil is in the last place, but there's a lot to play yet, and these guys will most certainly start climbing the scoreboard soon.
The Leaderboard reflects the results of the previous day, and already includes Penalties.

http://bit.ly/NC2021_TeamScoreWhat's up beloved fans? Missing me already? Fear not! "I'll be your mirror, reflect what you are" as so well sung by Nico and The Velvet Underground! Yes' Sir Hunchy is a 60's nostalgic! But enough of that, let's focus in this Nation Cup Stars, the Managers!
It will be awarded to the managers with more squad evolution in the leagues, with their teams!After Round 2, this is the Manager with better performance in this Award:
- @Jhonger-PG from Peru , with a 158M Squad Evolution is on the lead, performing well above average! Congratulations!
To freshen up everybody's memory this is the reference so far in this award, a score obtained in the 1st Phase:
- @arteromero from Spain , with a final score of 1265M Squad Evolution (after applying the Group C coefficient - 0,9375).
It will be awarded to the managers with more scored goals in the leagues with their teams!- @m-vaswani from India , with 6 scored goals in 2 rounds (average of 2 goals per round), has the lead so far. Excellent start!
After reviewing with more care the calculations os this award in the end of the 1st Phase, as there were 2 Managers with the same score after the coefficient application, we've decided to revise it. In order to have the fairest criteria possible, we've added another variable to the calculation - the amount of wins in the league:
Therefor, with 21 wins in the League of Group C, the reference for this award is from now on:
- @MenagerBL from Serbia , with a final standing of 51 Scored Goals (after applying the Group C coefficient - 0,9375).
It will be awarded to the managers with less conceded goals in the leagues with their teams!So far, with only 2 rounds played, there are a lot of Managers with no conceded goals yet. So let's wait a few more rounds to see who will maintain a clean sheet the longer!
But there's one Manager who has already proven it's worth, being the reference so far in this Award:
- @palasgiales from Panama , with 9 conceded goals (and only 2 defeats) in Phase 1.
It will be awarded to the managers that scores the most points for their National Teams!!- @Mickytuli from Spain , with 68 points scored for his National Team, is the MVP so far! Congratulations! Keep the rhythm!
The reference to beat in this Award belongs to:
- @davidaguila76 from Spain , with a final score of 275 pts (after applying the Group C coefficient - 0,9375).
Hell yeah! We're having an excellent start! This looks like Hollywood Boulevard, with a huge Stars concentration per square inch. I'm delighted!
See you all tomorrow! With more info after this Final round 3, that is being played today! Cheers!
We have the pleasure to welcome as todays interviewed in Nations Diary, Morocco National Team Coach, @semlali-semlali !
Q: Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
My expectations for the final will be strong and difficult. We expect who will win, but for us our goal is to win the championshipQ: By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
For me, it is necessary to intensify the tournaments of the national teams.
As for the Moroccan national team, we have participated in a lot of tournaments such as WNT ( World Nations Teams ) and ANT (Arab Nations Teams). We reached the final more than once in ANT and without luck we would have achieved the championshipQ: From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
I like a lot of tournaments like CCW, ISC, and FMS ... like these tournaments, you can improve your level with them. For me, team development and strength of tactics are very important and complement each other. You cannot develop your team while you are weak in terms of tactics.Q: How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
Of course, he must be part of a crew, in order to gain more experience in difficult battles and patrols.Q: For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
I think your organization of the current tournament is very excellent, the important thing is that it will last for years.Q: Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
I don't think we will participate because we don't have another squad for the tournament.Thank you for your time, and congratulations once again for the Qualifying! Best of luck to the Final! Go Morocco!
