Issue regarding inviting friends

I tried to invite a friend of mine today to play OSM with me in a Championship (English second) league. A team he's fond of still was free and using the link i got him to copy, he created an account. He claimed the team we had in mind and all was great. Except for the invitation bonus we were supposed to receive. I thought i read somewhere that both of us would receive a bonus in boss coins to our account: we'd both receive 50. Neither of us actually received it though. Is this a common bug or is there a long processing time on this action?
