How do some teams regularly concede 8-9 goals per game?
-
What could be the reason behind that, despite them not being bad at all?
For example, I play in La Liga and Villarreal (inactive manager) started conceding around 10 goals EVERY GAME, even against teams with lower quality who never had a real manager to begin with.
Their squad quality is pretty decent at around 90 overall. Tactics look normal too with 4-3-3. Player morale & form is mostly at around 80 or more, so nothing terrible here either (another question is how their morale remains so high when battered day in and out?) but they will concede almost a dozen from everyone.
Why does that happen and how does it work? There are way worse clubs who'll still put up a decent fight and not concede more than 3-4 per game but those clubs with inactive managers, despite having a good squad, get absolutely battered and I don't get it.
