Resign from winners cup

I would like to resign from the Winners Cup with my team Elche, because the match time is bad for me and I don't have a realistic chance to qualify for the knock-out phase anymmore. How can I resign from this tournament?
Normally I can choose a match time by switching servers, but for VIP Leagues and Winners Cup this is not possible. I still hope GB schedules these on a server with average match time (between 20:00 and 22:00 CET).

I think it is impossible to resign from a tournament unless you are knocked out -
@odegaardarsenal Thanks for your reply, I hope GB can change this. Or that I can influence the match time I play. I want to avoid 16:xx or 17:xx match time or resign immediately after I find out that my tournament is scheduled at one of those times.
I joined 3 Winners Cups and 2 of those were scheduled at an unfamiliar time for me. I already have no chance to qualify for the next round after 4 or 5 matches in the group stage in these 2 tournaments.

yes i think resign should be available even in tournaments
actually I am from Hong Kong and the match times are from 10:30pm to 3:00am which is not good for me -
@koningco This cannot be changed. People are resigning way too much anyway, and It would not be fair that someone had to play human manager in round 1 or 2, but guy in 3rd or last round plays against PC team just because someone resigned after 1 or 2 defeats.
For me, blocking an option to resign from tournament is a great move and one of the main reasons I love playing tournaments.As for match time, people play from all over the world and It is hard to please everyones time zones.

@majstor-matt I now stop managing teams when I have no chance after 4 rounds in a tournament. This means that my line-up may be incomplete in the last 2 rounds. I don't think this is better than resigning. I never resign from leagues (except when someone screws a league up by spending loads of coins). But for Winners Cup tournaments, I just don't want to play at 16:xx or 17:xx because I have no chance to qualify against other active managers (and managers in a Winners Cup are active, because otherwise they wouldn't qualify and register for a Winners Cup).
I hope GameBasics can come with a solution for winners cups that avoids managers are placed on a server with completely different time than the server they played on in their regular league. I think it would be good to give managers a choice when they sign up for a Winners Cup. For example give them the opportunity to block certain time slots. I am prepared to wait a day longer for a Winners Cup to start on a normal time and I think this could help people in Asia or USA as well. And same option would be nice for VIP League's.
