Negotiations Coin Loss

I was negotiating for a player on the transfer list and then decided that I did not need that player so I pressed stop and it did not give me my coins back after I pressed stop negotiating. Shouldn’t I get my coins because I stopped going for the player?

It depends, for example if a coach is selling a player for 36k and you buy it with 36k you'll automatically buy the player and there's no way to "stop negotiating" from there because there was never a negotiation since you accepted to buy the player for 36k.
Now, imagine the same coach is selling the same player for 36k and you go and choose 25k... negotiations will start but your 25k club funds will never go to the other player unless he accepts your negotation, when he accepts the negotiation of the prize you put up, there's no way for you to stop it... you'll get the player and he'll get the money.
I think that what happened was the first thing I said, someone was selling a player and you just accepted to buy it from that prize.
