Friends can't join my league

Hey,
I just created a private league with loads of new friends, but the league is private so they can't search for it.
They just made new accounts so it says they have to choose a team before they can create a manager name so I can invite them.If they just made an account, how do they join the league while it's private? I want them to be able to join but it says they don't have a manager name so I can't add them or invite them. Please help ASAP.

You have to invite them then.
I assume that you've followed these steps, added the friends to friendslist.
then invite those friends into your league?
