Connection problem

Someone I know can no longer log in to the game, neither via his phone (iphone) nor via his PC. When he logs in, he gets: "Sorry, an error has occurred."
His trainer name is "Gaet le boss".Can you provide a solution to this problem?

I can't find any problem on his account.
We've increased security by forcing ALL connections to be made vi HTTPS, maybe this is the reason.
Does he have outdated devices?
Did he tried a different intenet provider? Maybe current one is blocking connection to OSM.
