Ah, I see. Those spcecial Bosscoins Packs are for a certain real-life match. If you buy the Bosscoins pack from the team that wins that specific match, you get bonus Bosscoins. They are not based on your own match with any of the teams you are playing.
As you mention that this was around August 13 my guess that this was about the European Super Cup between Paris Saint Germain (winner Champions League) and Tottenham Hotspur (Winner Europe League). That match ended in 2-2 and Paris Saint Germain won after penalties. So if you purchased the away team Pack (the Tottenham Hotspur one), you don't receive the bonus Bosscoins.
