Why can't I log in with my coach username and password?
Hi there,
This has been permanentely removed for a number of reasons.
- Better security as it will be harder to take over an account
- Hopefully less cheaters as it will be more difficult to create an account and to switch to other accounts
- Less account issues as new users are no longer able to play without adding an emailadress, password or social connection.
It's unfortunate that the login procedure has become more complex, but it was a neccessary step.

hi. for me its uncomfortable to enter over a code and email. in my opinion password is enough. mostly i`m using osm over my phone so its heavy to switch between email and osm. cost much more time. i playing for many years!!! you can check it one time over a code maybe so than you know who had a real account or not.

Do you realize how many people have been locked out of the game? Why didn't you announce these changes? A good friend of mine can't play, even though he's been with you for over five years. The reason? He doesn't remember the email address he used to create the team. Is there any chance you'll reinstate the old login rules, even for one day?

It's just a game, enough with this conspiracy cheating thing. Impressive how you keep ruining this game with every updates. Just turn it back,no one asked for this

OSM has gone completely crazy with these new inlog rules. Will lose them 1000's of players, me included. The game did get worse over the years, but this really is the last drop. I'll find a new hobby....

Do you use the mobile browser or the OSM app? The webversion has a checkbox below the login options with the text 'do you want to stay logged in?' If you play on the mobile browser then it should be there aswell. You can check that box before you use any of the login options to stay logged in as long as you do not use the logout button or flush the cache.
I don't know if this checkbox is also there in the OSM app. If it is then after you have logged in, you can connect a Google Play or Apple Game Center account to your OSM account to be able to log in using that option. Otherwise, just log in once using the e-mail option and then after you have logged in, then you can add that Google Play or Apple Game Center account.

I think you're right about these changes, but unfortunately, making changes without prior notice is the most underhanded thing you can do to the game's users. Receiving a code by email to log in? Linking my Facebook account to use our data? And what about the forum? When are you going to put a forum in the app? Do you also want to link my bank account to play? You demand too much and continue your self-destruction. This is the end of the game for me. I accept losing my coins; I have no more patience for your senseless changes. I wish you all the best. Agreed, it's strange that they never communicated this beforehand.
If your friend doesn't have a Facebook account, neither can log in through the OSM app using a Google Play or Apple Game Center account, then he will have to contact the OSM support at https://support.onlinesoccermanager.com/hc/en-us
After he clicks on 'submit a request' he should choose the option 'OSM' from the dropdown menu to fill in the contact sheet. The support team can tell him what the email adress is or put a different e-mailadress to his account if that one is no longer in use.

I would like to join to the others. Its really weird that I need to ask a code every single time when I want to login. Also I have the same problem that Trymp wrote. I cant remember the email address that I gave 10 years ago.. I also contacted support but I didnt get any answer yet.

Decision making and communication with users (including taking feedback into consideration) in this game is really briliant, no words for this.. Such big changes, not a single word being mentioned about it... No words..

Hi,
I understand that from a technical or policy perspective it may have seemed necessary to make this change. However, from a user perspective the practical benefits are not very clear, while the impact on usability is very noticeable. Logging in has become more time-consuming and less convenient, without a clear improvement in security or fairness that users can actually see.
Because of that, i feel that the balance between security and usability has shifted too far toward complexity. It would be helpful to reconsider whether there is a way to maintain the intended protections while keeping the login process simple and practical for everyday users.
At the end of the day, it is still a game, and usability for normal users should remain an important consideration alongside security improvements.

That is a mistake, I know is more secure, but is possible to prevent that by just using 2MFA. Disabling all accounts from accessing directly with email and password is not fine, imagine you lost the email how you will recover the account? imagine you know the email and the password from your old account and your email was deleted? Google have a policy to disable emails that doesn't make logins after couple months or years.
This is a bad idea, guys! What they are doing seriously? How to fix this? Easy

Make possible to disable that under account settings you can choose the method to login and disable login with email and password, the player can choose which one is more convenient for him like 2MFA, Google Authenticator, Code by email or none (this means that login with email and password will be back)

Make possible to add 2FA in the settings of the game, if is not possible to do in mobile, make it available in desktop, then the user will need one day to change it and secure the account, easily and no headaches. For those who want to keep their account with mail and password, it still works. For those who doesn't want to login by email and password for security reasons, it will show a message "Disabled for Security reasons"

Make a Whitelist like devices where you always login to make it secure, new devices from the country you login can be blocked until the user passes the step of security reasons. Easy, fine and comfortable for everyone!

I can't understand what is going on in this game and the direction this game is going on. Seriously, sometimes it gives the sensation that we are going back and the updates are being useless and mistakes are more common than before. Even if is for security reasons doesn't make sense to force all users to do so, is not the users that need to protect their account, OSM also needs to make sure that all data is well encrypted and not in plain text or stored badly. Take the security seriously but for both!
Keep going doing this and the game will lose more players than ever, most influencers that publishes videos of OSM are already complaining about game updates (no ranking updates, no improvement in classification, mundial ranking etc)
Small coins when you end the season, is very sad to see that. In the past we received more coins when we got in 1st position, now you receive small like 15 coins - 20 coins or less than that.... seriously guys what is the idea? where we will go with this ideas and no improvements where needs to have?

,Ive been playing this game since 2010 . This is painful
to add a code every single time . Why cant we just simply add the email and password ? Or just email . That code its too much . And like other members of this game have mentioned previously, why there was no communication or at least to ask our opinion ??? .

@FC-Eddie_NL highly disappointing that this has been put in place with no notice. First of all it is true that no other game is using this procedure, on top of that, it’s a problem for beginners and veterans alike. My personal opinion: restore the normal log in procedure.

Lots of points made here that we as users are trying to point out all the time, yet nobody is listening, nothing is being done in order to try and fix those issues. Sometimes it looks like people running the game are not playing it in such detailed way. And you cannot have perfect vision of things if you do not experience it first hand. Thats why Im even more surprised why dont they take feedback from experienced managers more often. If I have been playing this game for more than 17 years of course I dont want anything bad for it, I want to help it to be better in order to attract more managers and give them better experience.
These constant updates that are being pushed (medals, coins specifically related) are all in favour of new managers and inexperienced managers. And the fact is that majority of those managers play 2-3 seasons and leave the game - I dont see how can people like that be more important than us who play for longer than 5 years.

You're horribly wrong this time! A change like this (especially without any notice) after years of daily playing makes you feel unwanted and will keep people away. You should restore the "old" login procedure.

So since GB can't solve the problems of cheaters and multi-accounts, it makes life difficult for all the other managers. It seems sensible to me......

No, the problem is rather than identifying cheaters themselves they are just using this procedure to try and kill off cheaters once and for all. Unfortunately, what it is actually doing, it is making more actual managers than cheaters leave this game
