[Help] Nationality Bonus
-
Hello everyone,
I just heard about the 'nationality bonus' initiative, and have some questions:
(1) What is the minimum number of players to benefit from this?
(2) These players must be in the line-up or is enough to have them in the squad?
(3) Can you share with us a quantitative approximation of the bonus? For example, we know training camps improve our chances by 25 %.
Thank you!

@il-specciali Hi mate
You need to have 6 or more players from the same Nationality in your Line-up. I think that no one knows exactly about the quantitative approximation of the bonus. It's something you'll have to find out by testing it. It's not like 'Training Camp' but more like 'Specialists' better.
Kind Regards

Hi @lirind, thanks for you input!
My 3rd question comes because I imagine that if you have 11 players of the same country the bonus will be higher than if you have just 6. But in order to know if all of this is worth it, we should have at least an idea of how big the bonus is in each level (6, 7, 8 and so on).

@Hespera @SUPERNOVA-8 @King_Jamiu_10 I know the answer to this question is probably not straightforward, but if you guys (and/or girl ) could provide some feedback I would really appreciate!
Thank you!

@il-specciali Hello to you too my friend and welcome to the World forum
I must tell you , everything I read in here as replies from fellow managers were correct. It is nowhere mentioned an exact percentage of the boost that the Nationality Bonus has to offer but it is certainly not as big as the Training Camp's .
Please have a look at this topic , https://forum.onlinesoccermanager.com/topic/308/important-info-please-read/4
it describes the usage of the Forum's Search Tool and it can help you a lot with whatever interests you to find fast from the huge amount of infos in our forums. And it is funny that I used the Nationality Bonus as an example for the Search Tool. Give it a try and you will find every post that has to do with this feature. -
@supernova-8 Thanks for the input. Tbh, I already used the tool to look for info before opening this. As I wasn't able to find the answer to my questions in any of them, I decided to proceed.
One of the things I've always disliked in OSM is the lack of info regarding the mechanisms of the game itself. Players need to know all the aspects of the game to improve. Giving just this kind of hint is too naive, especially because in this case, for example, one probably needs to invest some coins to build a consistent line-up with 6 or more players from the same country. We, as players, should have more info about this issue to know if it is worth the investment or not.
I was expecting that your team could make some investigation and come back with some feedback, as you did in the topic 'How authentic is the Match Experience feature?'. I really enjoyed the question and the answer you guys managed to provide to all of us there! Anyway, I was a moderator myself some years ago, and I know that in most of the cases you don't have any additional information about these in game aspects.
Thanks for your time!

Hello again Américo.
I am back to this topic and question , hopefully for the last time to be honest, with as much of a detailed explanation I could get for you and the rest of our OSM's community.
Nationality Bonus
It is a new feature that was added to spice up a little bit the fun part of building up a squad. As a new parametre of the game the idea behind it was that players of the same origin tend to work way better on the field compared to those of different origins.
Facts about this feature:
Question: How do I get this extra boost ?
Answer: All you have to do is to try and have at least six ( 6 ) players of the same nationality ( not generally on your squad ) but placed and used on your starting 11 line up for your match.Question: Do I get an even bigger boost if these players are more than 6 ? For instance , what happens if I have 7 or 8 or 10 players of the exact nationality on my line up ?
Answer: Nothing changes to the amount of boost you'll get , no matter if your starting line up has 6 or 10 such players. It is up to you to decide how many of them you wish to bring to your squad, especially if you are planning on rotating them for each new round and line up.Question: What is the exact percentage of the boost that nationality bonus can bring to my team's performance?
Answer: What we know is that it is a small bonus. It works in a similar way as the bonus that you get for picking the right Specialists for your match. Do we know the exact percentage of boost that comes from our Specialists?
No, we do not. But we do know they play their part on the results of the match in total. We, us managers , get to choose for every match a specific player as a Captain or as a Penalty taker etc , even though there is not known a standard percentage of success in our choices. Same thing goes for the Nationality Bonus. Conclusion :
The game really needs to preserve a bit of a mystery in it. And GB can never disclose specific values for certain aspects, simply because OSM is not a math game. It is a simulation game that takes a combination of several different factors into account and it must be said at this point that lady luck is one of them too.
If all the factors and results were turned into mathematical calculations then OSM would lose all the fun !
Same goes for football and for all other sports or events played by human users. That's all folks !
