Try the following steps:

1. Remove all app data
2. Remove OSM app
3. Turn your phone off and on again
4. Install the OSM app again

Are you using an internet connection? Notifications of sold players and played matches are 'server' notifications, which means that the only way to get them is if you use an internet connection.
